Wow! Had the Bass Edtions before this, love these!
I had the GR07 Bass Edition headphones before this, and had them for like 2 years before I accidentally left them in my pockets and they got washed in the washing machine. :(I was going to just get the GR07 Bass Editions again, but decided I'd see what these were like. That turned out to be a great choice on my part! I'm loving these headphones. I think the BE version is good as a kind of transition from more basshead headphones. Once you've used the BE version for a while I think it's time to transition to something more accurate.I was kind of worried that these would leave me wanting more bass, but honestly? These are really dang balanced. It feels like they have just "enough" bass. The sound is so dang similar to the Bass Edition. It has all the good things that I remember, but has just a bit more detail and balance. I'm hearing small details that I definitely missed on the Bass Edition headphones. Some people have complained about sibilance. There's a tiny bit there, but the sibilance isn't that bad at all, to be honest. Just don't listen to them ridiculously loud. I think the small degree of sibilance these can have is a product of accuracy. If you were to somehow boost the volume on normal sounds and people in real life that were talking to you, I'm SURE those sounds would be sibilant too.

Amazing sound however unreliable cables/monitor functionality
The sound quality is amazing however you should be wary of the stereotypes around these IEMs as well as Chinese earphones/headphones/IEMs etc. as they hold true for a majority of the time. I bought these about a year ago and read a few reviews saying that after a year, you'll start running into problems such as one of the monitors not working. This happened to me, word for word. I was listening for about a year with no hint of an issue and then suddenly the right monitor gave out, and I have to do a lot of random adjusting of the cable to get the original sound. My advice would be, unless you baby these around, be wary of purchasing these. The trend exists for a reason.

Looks cheap. 3 months later cable tearing...
Unexceptional build quality, looks cheap for the money it is. Pretty decent overall audio. Great bass... Three months later, with me taking exceptional care of the earphones, always keeping them in the little pouch that came with them and just generally being careful not to damage them... The plastic cover on the cable has torn at the bottom, right next to the cable stress relief thing, exposing the metallic sheath which has also been compromised, exposing the actual wires... The cable stress relief feature is made from tough plastic and really doesn't protect the cable.

Worked great for about 2 months. Left ear is now out. Bought warranty plan, hope they can remedy this.

Seriously great sound quality but requires 100-200 hour burn in before they sound right. They sound "abrasive" and lack nuance at first until you burn them in. Just hook them up to a sound source and let them play at a low volume for two days.Manufacturer website is of poor quality. Doesn't have much english. However if you can navigate your way to the product page it shares some burn in tips that worked nicely for me. I used the "my noise" free sound generator to run white/pink/grey noise at recommended intervals and I was really positively surprised at the improvement in balance and sound quality after 200 hours. All the musical elements were treated equally. colorations were kept in control for such a small speaker. rarely ever too much base or tremble. Only complaint was that music with natural or engineered "ambience" especially live music, the mid range and ambient effects were over emphasized at times, leading to a sometimes muddled soundstage.Con's: not durable. Might lasted 6 months or so before the housing broke and a cable came loose in my pocket in the bag it comes with. The cable reliefs have a design flaw too in that they can easily "tourque" the housing open when tugged on.I have small ears, and they were frequently uncomfortable If I left them in for more than a half hour. Your mileage will vary.I loved the sound but I think I am still on the hunt for the perfect compact ear phones.

Absolutely a must have!
I've been using the GR07s for the past 2 months, and these IEMs are my new go-to pair in my collection. The build quality is nice (despite being plastic), but the they do feel a bit more fragile then other IEMs out there. The cable is sturdy, but I wish it were detachable like some other pairs available in the same price bracket. However, what makes the GR07s shine is the beautifully clear soundstage, neutral tone, and great isolation. Simply put, I've never heard another pair of IEMS that sounded so accurate to original recording while also being so comfortable, and I frequently find myself getting lost in my music for hours, discovering some of my favorite songs all over again with my new favorite pair of IEMs. I highly recommend these to anyone looking to step up to a quality headphone at a reasonable cost.
