Easy locking and unlocking and very sturdy
These dowel casters are great and as advertised. Installed them on a miter saw stand that I built and is extremely smooth to move around even on uneven concrete. The locking works well and requires very little effort. Well made and sturdy and also very economical. When the wheels are locked it does not move. Highly recommend.

Works as described
I used these to make a rolling cart to hold boxes in our storage unit. It was one of the quickest DIYs I've done. My husband (who weighs close to 200 lbs) rode around on the cart before we stacked boxes on it, so these wheel can definitely support heavy weights.UPDATE: After a couple months of using the DIY cart, I do notice that the wheel brakes get pressed easily, even when the brakes are not engaged. Had to knock off a star for that one.

Great upgrade for car wheel dollies!
I have some cheap Harbor Fright car wheel dollies (skates) that came with steel casters and didn't roll for crap. I decided to give these a try and they are a game changer. I can roll around a car on the skates by myself now. I hope they won't get a flat spot when sitting for a long time with weight on them. Very happy with them so far.
