Love this!!
I have always thought that hand strength is an under addressed item in exercise and strength training. Perhaps I'm a bit biased as I worked in a corrugated box factory at a young age for years where you HAD to have good grip/hand strength or you didn't last long. Also, with the rise in popularity in shows like American Ninja Warrior it's shown that hand/grip strength is an underappreciated factor in a good amount of challenges. You see these people with their bulging biceps and triceps lacking the ability to hang on to an inverted board for longer than 2 minutes. While a relatively scrawny rock climber who HAS to have good hand/grip strength as their life could literally depend on it easily surpassing them on the course. This item arrived in excellent condition in it's own cloth bag. A nice touch as I have 2 other similar devices that didn't come with one. This one is different in one key way, it has individual finger holes/grips. The others I have they don't have the individual finger holes. Also, I don't know if it's because of the inclusion of the individual finger holes/grips but this one is slightly larger than the other two.The rep counter is shown in an LCD display, one of my others has this while the other has an older wheel type of number display/counter. I do like the LCD display better as it's easier to reset to zero for the next set of exercises.I don't know if it's the variability of the spring used for the tension or the slight size/handle difference, but this unit is much stiffer than the other two at it's easiest setting, 5kg. While on my other units at the 5kg setting is almost like no resistance at all and I can rack up 75 reps in practically no time. This unit at the 5kg setting I could barely get 30 reps done. I DID confirm that both were set at the lowest resistance they could go with the adjustment knob not being able to be rotated any further. If I had only one unit this wouldn't really be a problem as I'd just switch the single unit back and forth between hands. BUT, I was hoping to exercise both hands simultaneously, almost like in a "head to head" competition. Well, I guess I still can, I just have to increase the tension in the "easier" one to match the newer/harder one. Problem fixed, right!?Setting the tension differences aside, this is excellent hand exerciser. Sturdy, good adjustment range for the tension, the LCD counter, and it's own carry bag. I would highly recommend this hand exerciser to anyone looking to improve their grip/hand strength.A+++++

A Quality Grip/Forearm Strengthener
I'm nearly 64-years-old, and in my younger days I had numerous devices similar to this. They were all basically the same with one horrible flaw; the plastic grips just slid (tightly) on the handles, and after a little use they'd start to get loose and instead of staying where they needed to be, they'd spin around the metal handle when in use. This device is of much better design and build quality. I just leave it on my coffee table and pick it up many times per day and do 10 reps. with my right hand and then 10 with my left. As far as the counter, I guess it's good to have, but I really don't use it.I do like the fact that the resistance is adjustable, but I doubt the scale of adjustment is anywhere close to being accurate. I've just been using it at a somewhat lower setting, and when it becomes a little too easy, I'll crank it up a bit.All-in-all, I found it to be a quality device that's probably worth the reasonable price - IF YOU ACTUALLY USE IT, of course. It seems most exercise bikes, weight benches, and other home exercise equipment just become never used items that mostly just clutter people's homes.

Not great
I have mixed feelings about this hand gripper.First, it comes with a fabric drawstring bag for storage, which is a nice perk even if the bag is quite cheap. The gripper itself is exactly as pictured in color and style. It's comfortable to hold in both the left and right hands and easy to adjust the strength. The littler counter is a nice detail that could be very useful.I have a few issues with it, though.First, the gripper is extremely tight. Obviously that is the purpose but everyone in my household agreed that the lowest setting was still extremely tight with the highest settings nearly impossible.Second, I have what I would call an average to large sized woman's hand and find that the grip spots on this are too widely spaced to be comfortable to me. While I could certainly use this, the spacing made my hand position quite awkward and painful after a while. The other issue is that it torques when used. By that I mean that if you are pulling the handle closed, the bottom part hits slightly off-center. I don't actually know if that's a bad thing in terms of physiology, but I can't help but think it's probably not great. The bigger problem, though, is that it effectively makes the counter useless since the little knob for the counter is in the center of the bottom and the torque means the handle doesn't hit it when you pull it closed.Overall I think this is fine for anyone with a larger hand who doesn't care about the counter. For myself, though, it's not great.

Good design overall.
This is a well-designed hand grip exercise equipment. It is very well made and you can see that from the time you take it out of the packaging. The quality of the material and how well is put together is front and center. There is a knob to dial in the strength you want from this grip. I’m not going to go into details about the amount of force you get with each dial click because I didn’t do any deep research into it. I just used the dial and I can tell it works, it does increase the amount of resistance. However, there is no way to know how much resistance you are increasing with each click by looking at it. The product pictures tell you from looking at it that it has a resistance from 5kg to 100kg. However, there isn’t a way to confirm that. I just increase the clicks until I can’t no longer do any more of the exercise.
