Pens are comfortable to hold and write very smoothly. Came with an ample supply of ink, two gel cartridges, two ballpoint, and four ink cartridges for the fountain pen. I really like how easy it was to get the fountain pen to write, no shaking needed, just held the pen with the nib pointing down for 10 seconds and perfect ink flow.

Considering the price of this pen set, you can't really go wrong with it. The craftsmanship is very nice, the pens have a nice feel to them and they are well balanced; but I found that criticisms of others (the case should be made larger and have compartments to hold re-fills and cartridges) to be valid. Also, two of the three pens in this set have caps (the other is a twist pen), and pens like these should be designed so that you can put the cap on the bottom end of the pen when you are writing.

I am very pleased with this purchase. I am still surprised how economical the price was as the pens appear to be VERY good quality. I particularly love the fountain pen (I've always loved fountain pens!). It is so elegant and writes quite smoothly. I was also pleased with the supply of refills that come with the set. Excellent gift idea for those who like fine writing instruments.

In this day of disposable "everything" a set of crafted wood-bodied pens is a rarity and a delight.The feel of the pens are class and craftsmanship; an eye catching trio for personal use (or gift giving) for someone who appreciates a great subtle statement.

i received this as a gift from my wife. it came in a really nice box with refills included. 2 pens for normal every day use, one thats useable anyway but fancy like for caligraphy

I really wanted to love these pens because they are so beautiful. Unfortunately, I have not had a very good experience with them. My primary reason for buying was the fountain pen. Now fountain pens can be finicky to begin with, but I have had nothing but trouble with this one. I had not used the suction refillable plunger type before. When I had issues with it, I assumed it was my lack of experience so I switched to cartridges. Still no luck. With both, the ink was splotchy or it would write a few letters, sometimes a few words, then I was having to shake it to get the ink to flow.The ballpoint pen wasn't much better. I didnt get the pools of ink like I did front the fountain pen, but it barely wrote. I would have to go over multiple letters in almost every word. The last pen, I'm not sure what it is called (a better version of a ballpoint pen maybe) was the only saving grace out of all 3 pens. It works like a charm, very consistent writing quality. The case is also very finicky. If the pens are not in it just right it will not close.Like I said they are beautiful, but if you are looking for functionality from more than one pen, I suggest trying something else.

All 3 pens write beautifully and they make an excellent desk top accessory to show off. The price is right and I highly recommend this set! Also included are 2 refills for each of the pens. Great product that cannot be found in stores, certainly not for this price.
