My First Book of Lacrosse: A Rookie Book (A Sports Illustrated Kids Book) (Sports Illustrated Kids Rookie Books)

I bought this for my daughter who was just starting to show interest in lacrosse. It has been a very helpful book and had given answers and explanations to many things in lacrosse. It was great when she went to camp and already had a base knowledge of what the staff was trying to teach them.

I volunteer with a reading buddies group and the young boy I read with was not excited about reading - so I asked what he would like to read about and he said Lacrosse. So I found this book - written at his level and colorful. He said he was reading it - and I consider that a success.I trusted the information in the book since it was associated with Sports Illustrated.

Great little book. Bought for our daughters who are learning lacrosse. The rules were off for the girls game versus the boys. Would like to see that corrected, but all in all a terrific purchase.

Great book!!

I love this series, and my kids love it too. We have all the books published so far and i check periodically for new ones. So when i say i like this one less than the others, that doesn't mean it's bad, just that it's not AS good.I'll admit that it's possible that i found this book to be less impressive because i knew basically nothing about lacrosse before i read it, but if so, that's actually a critique of the series, so who knows. Either way, i wish they'd added just a shade more detail. For example, in lacrosse apparently an offside call happens when too many offensive players are in the offensive third of the field, but the book doesn't bother to mention how many is too many.

Exactly as advertised. Grandson loves it!
