Looking at it, it is a beautifully made clock. However, looks can be deceiving. I've exchanged this clock once already and now the replacement is acting up. First of all, the second hand gets stuck and you have to tap it to get it going again. I've replaced the batteries twice in the past 3 weeks. As for telling time, it is very difficult to read. Having said all that, I decided to keep it anyway because I really like the way it looks and I can tell time as long as I'm close enough to it.Maybe I got duds and my luck wasn't good with this product. I don't know. Still, it's a beautiful clock and it came well packaged. If I had to do all over again with what I know now, I wouldn't purchase it. You're taking your chances. I hope you have better luck than I did.

If you pay $46.00 for a clock you would I think expect it to last longer than 10 months. Alas mine didn't. Until it stopped working I was quite pleased with this clock. It fits in well with my other chicken decor in my country house kitchen, it kept good time and I really like the fact that it has a seconds hand. We plan to purchase a new movement kit. I hope it will last longer than 10 months. Since I wrote this review the clock has begun to run again. We're don't know why but a pleased that it is working. It wasn't the battery because we had put a brand new one in and it ran for a time and stopped. So glad it is working again. Probably would buy another from the same seller.

What I disliked was the fact that you had to assemble it. You have to attach the hands, bend them this way or that to make them fit and clear each other. I've never had to do that with a clock before. The directions seem like they were written by a 5 year old, seriously. Misspellings, bad grammar, etc. And you cannot use an alkaline battery, something about burning the motor out. You could only use regular or heavy duty batteries. Just too many issues, I ended up sending it back to Amazon.

I like this clock alot, it is big and very easy to see. That is actually why we got this one. It also came with the hook to hang it as well. But you will need to buy a battery(AA). It is very simple all you need is a hammer. I recommend sticking a small pencil in the back home to mark a round about were you want the hole, then center from there.

Very nice clock for the price and it looks better in person. The second hand is a continuous movement instead of the click clock sound.

Hands were not placed properly and in an attempt to fix, was unable to get them to place in the correct order. I think it will be heading to the trash can.

I have three of these in different locations. Love them all. Easy to read and nice quiet operation.

I only got one month out of the clock. Doesn’t keep time anymore, I replaced battery but that didn’t help. The minute hand works but not the time hands. It is hard to see also as the rooster is so dark you can’t see the hands,

This clock didnt work when we got it we had to fix it ourselves. But the picture on the clock is nice

I put it in my kitchen, looks great I have always wanted one for the kitchen.
