This is my second vitamin c skincare product and I’m glad to say I won’t be switching to another one. Before, I tried a Korean vitamin c cream but didn’t notice any effect from it whatsoever.Prequel has brought me the nicer-quality serum that I need. I love that Dr. Sam Ellis makes this important skincare staple both approachable and affordable.It’s very liquidy so it took me a few tries to get the hang of application. I tried pumping several drops directly onto my face like some people do—but I have sensory issues and dislike that feeling.What I do is make a “cup” with the palm of my hand and pump 1-2 pumps of product into it so it pools. I dip my ring finger to get some of the serum and then apply it in large “dots” onto my forehead, then repeat the finger/dot method for my cheeks, chin, neck and nose. Then I use my fingers to collect remaining product from my palm and use them to rub in all of the “dots” evenly.I have dry skin. In my experience this serum is not sticky or tacky after applied. It feels smooth, plump and nice. The smell is a bit strange but I don’t mind it and it goes away after a few minutes. I usually wait 2-5 mins before applying my moisturizer and sunscreen to let it soak in.I will say you should apply this to bare skin always. I accidentally applied it over some leftover self-tanner lotion on my face and it was extremely itchy and uncomfortable all day. Use it as the first step for daily routine and you’ll be good to go.

I absolutely love this vitamin C serum! It has quickly become a staple in my skincare routine. The formula feels comparable to much higher-end serums I’ve tried, with similar ingredients and a luxurious, smooth texture. It glides on effortlessly, absorbing quickly without leaving any sticky residue.One of the standout benefits is its brightening effect. After using this serum consistently, I've noticed a noticeable improvement in the radiance of my complexion. It gives my skin a healthy glow, making it look more vibrant and even-toned.There is one minor downside—the pump can be a bit finicky. Sometimes it’s hard to get the serum out, and it tends to dispense a bit of air along with the product. While this doesn’t affect the quality or performance of the serum itself, it can be a slight inconvenience when you're in a rush or trying to use just the right amount.Overall, this vitamin C serum is a fantastic product with great results, a smooth, non-sticky feel, and a brightening effect that works wonders for my skin. The pump issue is small. Nonetheless, it’s a great value, especially when compared to pricier serums on the market.

This is a great vitamin C serum. You put this on dried down skin so wait for your toner to dry for maximum effectiveness. People say this has a pungent scent, it smells like a regular serum to me. This is watery consistency and not oily so it absorbs pretty well and I love the airless pump design.

I got this product as a recommendation from Dr. Shereene Idriss on YouTube to replace my Drunk Elephant C-firma. First off, what is up with the pump on this thing? When I tried to do a pump on my face directly, it shot down my neck and down my shirt. The consistency is very watery, so I suggest doing a pump in the cup of your hand and applying to your face with your fingers. I have dry combination skin. It also feels a bit heavy and sticky and I can tell that I have it on all day under SPF moisturizer, but my face does look brighter, my fine lines are smoothes out and my dark spots are going away. I haven't really noticed a bad smell though. Overall, the price is great so I would say give it a try and see if you like it.

Everything that Prequel makes is amazing. The quality and the size are outstanding, especially at this price. The bottle lasts a long time and it evens out skin tone and gives you a glow.

I ordered this product after doing some research on YouTube. I like watching the educational videos of a few different dermatologists and this was recommended by several. It did not disappoint. It does have that distinct smell, but it disappears when it dries down within a minute or so. I feel like this stuff really helps the texture and feel of my skin. I use it on my face, neck, and hands after showering. Will continue to purchase if the quality stays the same!

I started to really like this despite the gross smell & sticky texture it leaves. I actually started to like texture of it bc it gave me a nice dewy glow. BUT then I got a horrible rash on my face, neck, & chest from this. I didn't want to believe it was this, or thought maybe if I didn't use it at night w my tretinoin, & Glycolic acid pads that it wouldn't do it again. It did! As soon as I could use it again I did & got another skin rash. It's the only new product I'm using. It seems to be a good quality though very potent actives! So if you never get irritated from any skincare product's & u can handle a pretty gross smell then u may want to try this. It's to strong for me which is shocking 😲

I love the product and I would continue to buy it, especially at this great price, but I will not buy it again because the pump bottle is messy, whenever I pump it gets all over the place. If they had a better container for it, maybe a bottle with a dropper, I would buy it again. .You can’t beat this price, and it is one of the best vitamin C serums I have ever used, but I can’t stand the way it’s packaged. I would give it five stars but I took away a star because of the packaging.
