Lost Guides Bali & Islands (2nd Edition)

Love this guide book. It's incredible information and beautifully laid out. There are excellent recommendations that are up to date ( unlike other guide books i have found that are out of date) and relevant for the discerning traveller whether on holiday or travelling. Luxury is found at low cost and you can discover hidden gems that are not mentioned in other guide books. Highly recommend to buy if you are travelling to the area!

This is a lovely guide and has been tried and tested by a visit to Bali. Not only is it full of pictures and information, it gives you lots of great ideas and takes you off the touristy track.

I expected it to be a coffee table book. Very small. Ok.

Bali is a wonderful island for every budget....But this guide is mainly for people with money. Among the different hotel it features there is the Como Shambala at circa £1 000 per night. I didn't shake the price of every hotel, but every time I found one I like and see the price on the internet it was above £100 per night...Some of the shops listed are among the most expensive ones you can find on the islandThe pictures are nice but there is no real added value compared to any other guide. It doesn't mention any temple...which is really odd as Bali has more temples than inhabitants...It looks more like the author has done a guide for herself

Brilliant guide - anna has hand found some real gems and really got under the skin of the islands. We based our entire holiday on her guide. Take me back!!

This author seems to nail it every time. She has found all the hidden gems so you don't have to! Can't recommend this book enough if you're going to Bali and want to see the delights that only those who know Bali really know!

This book simply made our trip. We heard quite a few mixed reviews about Bali, mainly being a little over developed, which in places it is however this book helped us navigate this wonderful island and find some amazing hotels, restaurants and everything in between from beach clubs to hidden boutiques. The suggested 10 day itenary in the book is perfect. The only regret we had was deviating from the books hotel recommendations in Canggu because we thought we found a really special hotel (which we did) but the review of the hotel in a major UK national paper didn’t mention it was next to a nightclub that is open all hours which as soon as I messaged Lost Guides they where fully aware of! If you are planning a trip to Bali and you are not traveling on a shoe string and want to have some amazing experiences and stay in some fantastic boutique hotels this book is a must bring.
