FGX Skean Dhu Fixed Blade 3.75 in Blade

This is a great letter opener. It’s lightweight and seems very sturdy. I think you could even cut yourself if you’re not careful. I did cut the metal ring off because, it was kind of annoying.

I use the knife for cutting open ice melt bags. Couldn't ask for anything better. Sharp enough to do the job and will not rust.

I knew it does come without sheath but it would it be nice if so. Other than that, it is sharp, well built and strong

Non metallic edc. Just in case you need something when your in a area that doesn't allow weapons of any kind. Also please follow ypur local laws pertaining to carrying this knife.

I ordered two of these plastic blades. They are exactly what the description states. Nothing else and nothing more. In my opinion, these are for concealment and when you may find yourself going through metal detectors/wand (sans the metal ring looped through the handle) for emergency type situations. I see complaints about being flimsy and the tip breaking. Well, these are not meant for every day use. If you want a utility knife, get a steel blade and be done with it. I made a sheath out of an old hotel room key and duct tape in under 3 minutes. If you take your time you can grab two hotel keys, a heat gun, small drill bit, and strong fishing line and you are done.

I understand the purpose of this knife. Its a undetectable by metal detectors, weather resistant and one time use shank. Its too thin for this work. The tip is paper thin not 6mm as advertized. For this type of weapon the thickness measurement should be taken at its thinnest point because its made of plastic. Poly resin with fiberglass would have been a much better choice for material. After some modification it will make a servicable boot shank. Cut down the tip to a point where the blade can withstand the force of a thrust. One of the nightshade series biggest failures in my opnion. Cold steel is usually a good product. This is a bad letter opener.

Ich verstehe die Leute nicht, die sich hier über ein "Plastik-Messer" beschweren. - Wer lesen kann .... Es handelt sich hier um die Voll-Kunststoff-Version (= Grivory-Ex-Klinge mit Kray-Ex-Griff) eines schottischen "schwarzen Dolchs" ('Sgian Dubh' bzw. 'Skean Dhu'), der traditionell zum Kilt getragen wird und sich meist im Strumpf auf der Seite der dominanten Hand befindet. Der hochwertige Kunststoff (besser als Zytel) und der spannende Wellenschliff machen in Kombination mit der Dicke der Klinge aus "diesem Stück Plastik" ein funktionales Messer, das Briefe öffnen und Kartons zerkleinern kann. Selbst ein Schweineschnitzel kann man bequem zerteilen. Und dazu ist es für Metalldetektoren faktisch unsichtbar. Mein Fazit: Ich habe erhalten, was ich bestellt hatte. Und das in wirklich guter Qualität.

In der Produktbeschreibung steht: Klinge aus legiertem Stahl. Das stimmt definitiv nicht. Plastik ist dafür die Bezeichnung. Nichts andere als Plastik . Griff Gummi Ne Spielsache mehr nicht.
