Solid, sturdy, adjustable, portable.
Make sure you confirm your machine fits the length and width of the platform!!!! There are two Gidgits, I and II. The Gidget 1 had a much smaller platform, the Gidget 2 is the larger platform. I purchased the Gidget 2.Pros: Good, solid, sturdy table. Fits my machine nicely. Easy to set up. The machine platform does have an adjustable height in the drop down position or up in the raised lock position for a full flat table surface. Folds up to store or take with you. Fit our vehicle without a problem. Good to use for everyday small spaces, take with you to classes or as a second sewing table. Table felt sold, no shaking or vibrating noted when sewing, machine didn't move either.Con: you really need to have an insert templated for you machine, not included. Good news is that there is a lip edge for one and I believe you can get one from the company, though I think it is over $100 (you would have to check to confirm that). We are lucky to have a local acrylic shop that we can get one made. There are two wheels, that are sturdy, on one end to pull behind you like luggage. However you can't lift the end off the ground very far without concern of hitting a bump or curb or anything and scratch the whole end. If I were engineering this, I would have moved the wheels closer to the end or used larger wheels. We will use a very small dolly or like the old fold up luggage cart to transport to avoid damage to the top. It is also on the heavy side, you are most likely not going to pick it up and carry it very far.Would purchase again, personally well worth the money.

Solid, easy to set up, no fuss table
I recently got back into sewing and had been using my kitchen table as my sewing table. Although roomy, it's a counter height table so I had trouble reaching the peddle to my machine; I had to sit on the very edge of the seat and that wasn't very comfortable. In addition to the seat height issues, it was becomming more and more of a pain in the behind to move the machine, my quilt, all my supplies and such every night for dinner. I needed a solution and started looking for tables/cabinets.I was really overwhelmed by the selection of sewing tables and cabinets out there. Sure, some of them were very nice but I couldn't imagine spending more on a stand for my machine than I paid for the machine itself. I wanted something very low frills that allowed me to drop my machine bed even with the surface. I happened across this one on a free motion quilting blog and watched several videos on how the Gidget II sets up easily. I was a little skeptical that it'd be sturdy enough but, since I could find no other options that I liked, I decided to go for it.I was very plesantly surprised. The Gidget 2 is a very solid table and, even at high speeds, doesn't move much at all. Setting it up was a breeze and it's light weight enough that I can move it easily if I need to. So far, I've only machine pieced one quilt and made several grocery bags but I have to say, it's got all the room I need for what I have been doing. I like how there's a measuring tape decal on the top front of the table - I find myself using it more and more.ConstructionYes, some people may complain that it is made out of fiberboard. I don't really see that as an issue. It's laminated with a very sturdy, almost countertop type laminant and has a nice thick plastic edge for a bumper. In my opinion, it's a very nice look - very clean and minimal - that doesn't take away from my machine's own asthetics. As I mentioned earlier, it's solid. It doesn't jiggle or move much at all when I'm sewing at higher speeds and that's important. So far, it's been easy to clean, too. I don't currently have a plastic insert yet so little bits of fuzz, lint, snipped threads and so on fall down on the drop down table part and collect there. I just take a damp cloth and wipe them off into the trash can I keep at my sewing station. No problem at all.One added feature that I like (but haven't used yet) is the ability to collapse it and take it with me if I need to. It has some really nice wheels (almost like the ones on luggage but slightly bigger) so dragging it around is very easy. I plan on heading to craft fairs/events in the future and would like to take my machine with me and this table can go along. It's about four inches tall once it's collapsed, so it'll fit nicely into my trunk!Final thoughtsI think this is a bargain for the price and would definitely recommend this table to anyone looking for a good solid, no frills table for their machine!

Arrow Sewing Table Gidget II
This table is exactly what I needed for my Janome MC6650 which is an oversized machine. I purchased a custom fit plate from Arrow that surrounds my machine. All the items…..the table, plate, and sewing machine bed give me a level and large surface for sewing and FMQ. I have the smaller gidget table that I use for a Brother machine and it is equally user friendly and perfect. Well worth the small investment price. And it provides an ergonomic height while I’m sitting and using it. No strain on shoulders, arms, or my wrists. Set up was a breeze and adjusting the machine height was, too. And it’s easily portable since it is on wheels.
