A very impressive system that I highly recommend
Decided to try out EFI and Fitech seemed to have a good, basic kit. We have a basicly stock 67 Ford F100 with the 352 V8. I rebuilt the engine to stock specs with an RV cam - nothing overly aggressive. Added an Edelbrock 4 barrel alluminum intake manifold and Headers. Went with the 30003 kit which handles up to 400 HP. I also took the opportunity to get the gas tank out of the cab and moved it to the back of the frame. This was a key consideration for the fuel injection as it requires a high pressure and high volume of fuel so went with a 100 PSI pump after talking with the Fitech folks. The Fitech unit itself has an internal fuel regulator which makes everything easier. Another option was to use the Fitech underhood fuel station but I had little confidence in mid-sixties fuel technology to keep up with the injection system. Hook up was very simple and straight forward except for the final hookup of the white wire for constant power to the unit under both cranking and run. Was still not convinced I had it right when we went to light it off. Followed the directions for priming the fuel system and went through the basic handheld unit set up. Big moment. Turn the key. It fired right up and other than the ussual new moter timing issues etc. I ran it for 30 minutes at mid level RPMs to break in the cam. Shut it down to make some adjustments not related to the EFI and then it started right back up. Runs very smooth. I am very impressed with Fitech and their products. I love the fact that I can jump in this old 67 beater truck, start it and go. No warming it up for 10 minutes and then babying it as you go. Hats off to Fitech for making a superior fuel injection system that anyone should be able to install and use.

Critical reviewer, happy camper!
Ok, so I installed this efi system on a 1983 Dodge d150 with the original 318 in it. Stock cam, port matched heads to edelbrock performer intake manifold and headers are the only things done as modifications. I used an inline 300lph Mostplus brand fuel pump ($35) and a generic steel braided fuel line kit ($35), both of which i found on Amazon. In all i spent around $890 to do a switch from carburetor to tbi and i can honestly say it was worth every penny. The product was packed well, shipped fast and delivered everything it promised right outta the box. I was meticulous with the installation to say the least but it cranked up the first time I turned the key and with a few quick adjustments my 36 year old truck runs better now than the first day off the showroom floor. If you're on the fence like i was this review is to push you off of it. Just follow the simple install instructions and let her RIP tater chip!Update after 6 monthsStarted having cold start issues, then no start issues. Customer service tried troubleshooting over the phone and told me the system isnt designed to work with externally regulated alternators...? Weird cuz it had been working for 6 months. Eventually I was told to send the unit in and they "repaired" it but when I got it back it would start then the rpms would be ALL over the place and it never worked again.

After 1 year, only stranded 2 times
After 1 year these are the components that have broken. 1st week Controller screen stopped working, was replaced under warranty. 3 months, an injector stuck open, was replaced under warranty (note if this ever happens to you, disconnect the power to the affected injector so you can limp home, these injectors are a propritary design, so I ordered an extra). 13 months, Idle air control valve fault, not replaced under warranty.Overall I'm happy with the system, I'm just not happy with the quality of components.

Self learning my ass.
On the phone 5 times over an hour each time tuning the unit. Still not running right, but it's running. Saving up the $250.00 to have it professionally tuned in Washington the next state over. Make sure you consider this extra cost in your budget.

I might buy two more of these.
I installed this on my 1963 Ford F100. I assembled my own fuel supply system and everything is working great. I put 1000 miles on it the first weekend by driving 4.5 hrs one way to a family reunion this system worked flawlessly. The only issue that came up was my filthy fuel tank clogged the filter. I used a serviceable fuel filter so I was back on the road in a few minutes.

Piece of junk
Absolute piece of junk. Car ran great for about 10 miles, then just died. It blew one of the fuses, put in a new fuse, the unit started smoking. This is a project car, I bought the unit about 2 years ago, but it was still new in the box. Fitech wouldn't warranty it because it was over a year old. The unit had 10 miles on it, you could look at it and tell it was brand new. Bought another one, put it on car ran great for about 150 miles, then died. Put on a carburetor, fired right up. Fitech is cheap junk, buy a Holley Sniper.

easy install, run great, adj fast, cold start, make more power than the old manual choke 600 carb, no mess with choke to make sure runs. Just turn key start right up. need to buy 5/16 air cleaner rod does not come in kit. Low pressure fuel filter, vent hose for fuel pump kit also not in the fuel pump kit, have too buy for easy install.
