I’m addicted. lol. It’s really good.
I make chicken salad with it. It’s a pretty good substitute. I’ve also used it to make in-chicken pot pies. Cooked with peas, carrots, and corn starch it makes great filling.I sometimes drain it and eat it with hot sauce on crackers.Their un-tuna is also excellent.

Foulness
I’ve purchased this product as a single can at my local health food store and I’ve loved it, and the other items by this company. I decided to splurge and get a case and I’m so mad at myself. I opened a can, and the stench was unbearable. The taste is inedible - just foul, horrendous and almost taste spoiled although it’s still “good” according to the date. No amount of trying to cover up the smell and taste worked - not enough onions or seasoning in the world. All I wanted was a sandwich today, but nope. Now I have several unreturnable cans just laughing at me.

Chicken salad & chickpea green curry
I made chicken salad as I would have done years ago, with (vegan) mayo, celery, onion, dijon, salt and pepper. I made the mistake of fully draining and pressing this chicken but try to keep some of the liquid because there's a lot of flavor in that. I put the chicken salad in a Lavash wrap with lettuce and tomato, it was delicious. Tonight I was making a hello fresh meal that a neighbor gifted me, a chickpea and zucchini green curry over jasmine rice and decided to use a can of this chicken and it's juices in the recipe, replacing the 1/4 cup water and it was really delicious. I've ordered another 12 pack on Amazon and will keep it in my pantry to make sandwiches and add to meals. The cost here on Amazon is pretty good. The whole can is about 160 calories, it's supposed to be 3.5 servings, the sodium for the whole can is 42%. Considering that many canned foods are really high in sodium, if you were to break this into two meals it would be 21% of your daily sodium and just about 80 calories per meal. I don't think that's unreasonable, especially if you're only using this here and there. The ingredient list isn't terrible, this uses palm olein instead of palm or other oils which is a fractionated variety of palm oil and heart healthy. Besides the small amount of xantham gum, the rest of the ingredients are just wheat and soy protein, sugar, and seasonings. The picture here is of the cold meal that I took out of the fridge and was using for my next day's lunch. I wish I had taken a picture of the actual dinner itself because warmed it was actually a beautiful looking dish and a very tasty curry.

Watery, spongy and very small portion
The unMeat Chicken is nothing like their Tuna. As other reviews point out, the canned Chicken is mostly water at first glance. And the "meat" is also full of water (like tofu) but with a sponge texture. If you press it out. you have about 3 tablespoons of meat per can, which is not even a full human adult serving. The taste is not terrible, but not good enough or practical enough to buy again as a replacement protein source.
