Nice Sampling
These 3 volumes are about 2 hours each and all together have 48 shorts from the early 1940s to 1968.The 60s animation is not as rich and detailed as that of the 40s & 50s. Some shorts are standard, and some are widescreen. They play this way, there is no option to choose. The last disc, Porky Pig, has 18 shorts, the last few about this crow and then a couple of Bunny and Claude ones. Daddy is in most of the Porky ones. I enjoyed these better than the Super Stars Volume 1 collection.I still think they should release a complete collection of shorts by decade or characters, in order. Of course, if they did it by character there would be overlap. No special features other than trailers. It's interesting that in the first Tweety cartoon, he is owned by a lady not Granny and she calls him Thomas.Mel Blanc does almost all the voices.

Brings Back Childhood Memories
So thrilled when I saw this offered on dvd, I watched these cartoons as a young child, I actually was almost a cartoon addict, and had not seen these since then. What fun to watch as a adult, and bring back all those good memories. And they are still funny too. DVD quality also nice. And a good price as well.

Estoy satisfecho

Widescreen cropping on Daffy Duck shorts. Otherwise, fine.
I was incredibly excited for the Super Stars collection as it features a fair amount of Looney Tunes/Merrie Melodies shorts that were not released on the Golden Collection. For the most part, this set is fantastic. While there's really nothing new in the Sylvester & Tweety disc if you have the Golden and Platinum collections, it's great to have a selection of these characters on a single disc. The Porky disc is phenomenal and has a few oddities that I've never heard of like the Bonnie and Claude shorts from the sixties. The Daffy Duck disc has an equally funny selection of cartoons appearing on DVD for the first time. However, 10 shorts have been forced into widescreen (all Warner Bros animated shorts were created in a 4:3 aspect ratio), which leads to the top and bottom of all cartoons made after 1953 being cut off. This cropping cuts into heads, feet and even impacts some gags. I am confused why Warners wouldn't even give viewers the option to between the cropped and original 4:3 aspect ratio. This is just vandalism to someone like me looking to plug gaps in my Looney Tunes collection. The other discs are fine.
