I just did a modernization of my house and swapping out this mailbox was part of it. It's very sturdily made. I like the included bumpers at the top to prevent the lid from slamming down noisily. Mine is installed under an eave, but it's been splashed lightly with a hose and it survived a heavy rain without my mail getting wet.I did apply car wax to it relatively early on because I noticed that it had gotten some water spots from the hose. They wiped off just fine, but I wanted to make sure that water didn't accumulate like that in the future, and I wanted to add some extra protection against rust.Installation is super easy. I only used the two screw holes toward the top of the box. The one on the bottom is impossible to reach, so I just skipped it. It's holding up just fine. I also noticed that if I tightened the mounting screws too much, the lid had a hard time opening. I backed out the screws just a touch (it's still tight enough against the wall) and the lid opens easily now.

We returned this product because we missed the fact that this particular option had no lock. Other than that, it would have served its purpose. It’s lightweight yet seems durable and has a sleek design. I can’t speak to how easy it is to install since we never did.

This is a high quality mailbox, the material gauge is thick enough and it is quite sturdy.And I have gone to all brushed nickel on all the hardware on my double doors and new lights in front of the house and this was the perfect mailbox to compliment the front doors and the lights. Worth the $$$Thank you for a quality product : )

Nice product but cannot be mounted flush due to the swing allowance for the hinge. One half inch was sufficient and not terribly awkward looking.

I ordered another mailbox that was approximately the same price and it leaked terribly, I was a little worried about this unit until I saw it, I mounted outside with no cover and all parcels have been dry as a bone.

Love this mailbox. Just as described.
