Remote Works Very Well & Good App
Bought one year ago which I misplaced so I bought this one. Connects very easily & works perfectly with the Shutter App. No issues with the Remote but I think there is an issue with the App itself that recently some photos did not get saved/got corrupted which has made me wary of using for important snaps but for selfies or random moments will use App & ball.

The rubber handle broke off
Broke pretty fast, the rubber handle broke off. The ball remote works alright, but without the handle we never used it again.

"Does exactly what is says on the tin!"
Such a simple product by does just what it was made to do without any major problems.Trying to take a half decent photo of yourself and others is next to impossible even with a front camera on your smartphone. I use this mostly for taking pictures of my band as it is not possible to get everything into shot at such a small distance,The packaging is minimal with informative imagery, nothing too over the top, because that is all that's needed. The instructions were very clear, app downloaded without any problems and the Bluetooth pairing was seamless. To add to that, the range on the Bluetooth is amazing! I went to rooms away in my house and still managed to take a photo without any problems!Regarding battery life, well you can't fault it, no recharging needing and battery comes preloaded, sorted! The only downfall to this product, I would say, was the fact that it is not compatible with the stock camera app or Instagram on iOS - this would of given it 5 stars. Perhaps it could do with being a little less bulking too....but thats only if i'm being picky. The Shutterball does have the cord that allows you to attach it to a rucksack or lanyard which is very useful! All in all, a great product, simple and easy to use, the price point is good and does just what it was made to do efficiently.

Bare in mine that it only works with its own app.
Bare in mine that it only works with its own app which is not updated so often. The shutter itself looks good. But the app has got no necessary setting, hence no focus/brightness adjust.

Perfect for couples!
I purchased the Shutter ball as I was tired of having to take either awkward selfies or asking strangers to take photos of my girlfriend and I as a couple whilst we are away on holiday. We were both fed up of getting home and realising the only photos we had, were of the scenery. The shutter ball comes in very minimalistic packaging, literally the item and a tiny piece of paper with the instructions on how to connect the device to your phone. This device is so easy to connect; I am pretty sure my 84 year old Nan could do it (once the free app was downloaded). You literally break the seal and turn it on. The App is extremely easy to use, working very similar to the normal camera feature on the IPhone. However this brings me to my only negative which is, that the device cannot be used with Instagram and in fact only works using the app.The device is small and extremely easy to carry around with you and even comes with an attachment cable that allows you to apply it to your bag or belt. This is certainly a great little device and though not essential will allow you to have hours and hours of fun.Top tip, by a mobile phone tripod allows you to take even better shots.

Essential? No! Useful and fun? Yes!
The Shutterball is an amazing little product as it has significantly helped to improve the functionality of my phone camera. I have always found that when it came to taking photos (Especially group pictures) that it is incredibly difficult to trigger my rear phone camera without significant shake/inaccuracy. The front camera is of such poor quality that it isn’t even worth bothering with if you are trying to take a picture in anything other than perfect lighting. The Shutterball is the perfect solution for this as it makes it possible to take photos of yourself and friends with the click of an easy to reach button. I have owned the little device for 3 weeks now and I have had a surprising amount of utility considering it is essentially just a remote control. The Shutterball comes in a little box with nothing other than a small instruction manual detailing how to link it to your Smartphone. In terms of simplicity, the product is incredibly easy to set up. I found that I was able to link it to my phone merely seconds after enabling Bluetooth with minimal faffing.... And after downloading the free accompanying app online it was ready to use. The app operates much like the default android and iOS camera applications only with the Shutterball serving as a Bluetooth remote control therefore it was really easy to use.The attached cord means that the Shutterball can be easily connected to a lanyard, your cuffs or a belt making it easy to reach as well as more difficult to lose! Given how careless I am and the Shutterballs small size this was a blessing as otherwise I would have lost it without a doubt. The battery life of the product is absolutely insane, lasting in excess of five years (WITH regular use) and it comes with a battery installed; meaning that it is not worth even considering a battery change. This is a great feature as it means that you will never face device issues brought about by a low charge and won’t spend anything on battery replacements. The Shutterball also has a huge, huge Bluetooth range for such a small product - Up to 30 metres. This means that when coupled with a phone tripod or stand it is entirely possible to set up your device ready for a specific photo and take it whilst quite far away, a useful feature for people like me who are interested in wildlife photography. By far the most interesting feature that this device offers is the ability to link and take photos using multiple phones at once. Whilst I have yet to use it, I can see it being interesting in situations where you would want multiple viewpoints of the subject.Long story short, the device is somewhat gimmicky but is pretty useful if you use the camera on your phone a lot like me; particularly for group photos or selfies.
