Big!
I need the extra wide standing deck and 3 wheels for my balance. This scooter weighs about 50 lbs and extra long. The speed is perfect for me going 15-16 mph tops. The battery life is great - I usually go about 6 or 7 miles and might burn 1 battery bar a ride. I think my style of riding I could get 20-25 miles per full charge. The internal combo cable lock is a nice bonus. This scooter does not use an app on your smart phone. It requires you to create a pin # to start. If the wheels are turned or pushed before the pin is enter an audible tone will go off (not loud like a car alarm). Has a solid ring on the front for locking it with a heavy u-lock or chain. Hand brakes are disc - left is rear tires / right is front tire. No kick stand - you can lock the hand brakes. (which is nice when you put it in the back of your car or truck so it is not rolling around) Good headlight and blinking rear brake light. Has nice pick up and stops on a dime.I weigh 225 lbs and at 6'2" this scooter is perfect size for me.The only complaint I get from family for GOTRAX scooters is the cruise control feature. Everyone who rides this one or my other 2 wheeled does not like the automatic activation of cruise control. This scooter has an expensive price tag. But so far it is the only one I can ride and really enjoy. My family owns a Segway Ninebot Max G30P, Hiboy S2 Pro, GOTRAX Apex, MacWheel E9 and this GOTRAX G Pro. The Segway and Hiboy are faster but this one is easier to ride if you have balance problems.I would buy this one again if something happens to the one I have. Super fun!UPDATED: August 2022I have owned this scooter for over a year now and I still think it is a great buy. No problems and super fun.

A little heavy for us girls but it's still worth the try.
I was hesitant to purchase it because of the 54lbs it weights since 8 live on a 2 floor walk in up but I decided to try it and if was too difficult I was going to return it. A month later I have decided to keep it. It is such a smooth ride and the bike lock feature is a huge plus. I will have muscles by the fall, I guess it's a double plus. I love it! And wouldn't trade it for the world.Update 6 months after purchase I'm still in love with it, I have tried it in light snow and it did great! I've used for a total of 217 miles so far and haven't fallen once. With my previous one from swagtron I fell multiple time even broke my elbow in 6 months out of the year I had it. Gotrax is a keeper, the 54lbs don't even bother me anymore.

Only product in its class - bought one and then another
Bought one of these after experiencing a knee injury. Needed a scooter I could use at a slow pace while riding next to my wife during our nighly 5-mile walks. The 2-wheel scooters didn't have stability at this slow pace whereas this 3-wheeler does with ease. The cruise control at any speed above 2mph is a really useful feature. The scooter has two-speed settings L1=1-9mph and L2=1-15mph. I ride mainly at L1 and get about 10-15 miles on a charge. We like the scooter so much, we bought a second one and plan to use these to make local runs around town (south miami and coral gables) and when we take weekend trips around FL, makes getting around so easy.

UPDATE: Not a smart long term investment
Updating this review less than 2 years into it. I loved my Gotrax but I do regret buying. I put in about 300 miles over around 18 months before giving up on it. I don’t consider that good value for the near $900 investment.About a year in, at about 250 miles, the motor broke on me. It started as a weird beep that locked the bike and would only go away after a reboot. Increasingly I had to wait more and more after shutoff before restarting for it to work. Finally it just wouldn’t turn back on, leaving me hanging mid commute and I had to haul this thing to where I could secure it. It is a HEAVY ride so, not fun to move around if it’s dead weight. After a painful back-and-forth with Gotrax support, with long turnaround to get responses back, I was instructed to buy a replacement motor, which in this unit means a replacement front wheel. At my expense, since it was out of warranty. So I coughed up another $100 and waited weeks for this thing to show up.When it finally did, and after yet another round of back-and-forth, slowly responded messages to get proper install instructions, I noticed that the replacement was nowhere nearly as powerful as the original engine. I could barely clear the incline to get me out of my street, which I normally rode through everyday beforehand. I sucked it up for a while, trying to make the best of this thing that I enjoyed so much riding, and resorted to kicking the ground to help it clear the incline, like with a regular scooter (excel this thing is huge so you have to really Loewe yourself and push, quite the workout). But then the issue happened again. Not even 4 weeks into the new engine, the same beeping and shutoff began. It was like a bad nightmare. I’m not even sure I needed to get that part after all, as it’s likely something else.I ended up getting a e-bike, as if it fails, it’s still a bicycle. And I got it from a dealer so I could opt for some actual service and support. Your experience may differ, but I felt an expensive purchase like this needs better post sales value that I just wasn’t getting from what felt like an operation from across the globe. Now my once favorite $900 toy is collecting dust in my garage and I’m unsure what to do with it.———————-It works great. Fits my use case 100% so it is awesome if you know what you are getting into.Built like a tank. Maneuvers a little heavily but that is appreciated since I'm not in it for the thrills, but rather for a comfy, convenient 2 mile ride to work and back. Its pretty heavy, which can be a problem if you need to haul it anywhere more than a few steps. But that also helps it feel safe and substantial on the road. I've used a few of the rental options and sometimes they can feel flimsy and insecure. Not this big boy.Only other potential drawback is the short range. I doubt that I could get even 12 miles on one charge. My commute is 2 miles each way, and by the second day back its uncomfortably hitting the last charge bar (so around 25%) which means I wouldn't want to be too far away from an outlet by then. So I definitely need to charge at least every other night, which seems not much for such a short trip of mine. But, its heavy and so am I so, I guess that is energy expensive. Plus my route does have a number of inclines up and down so, also consuming on getting those climbs.Recommend 100% if you want to commute for a short distance and don't need to haul it up stairs or get it into trains.

Three wheels ARE better!
I love this there wheel version when needing to add a bag box or even a bucket to my trip. I use these at horse shows and they put up with the dust and terrain. They stay standing when you are not riding and come with a lock built in when you need security. Loved my first one so much I bought a second one! It’s also very comfortable as you can stand with your feet next to each other if you don’t want to stand like you are on a skate board, this is helpful if you want to change how you stand for longer rides and can make a novice feel more secure.
