A cost-effective battery backup solution for modems and wifi routers
This mini-UPS is a very cost-effective method to protect my fiber optic modem and wifi router from power glitches and blackouts. Shortly after it arrived we had a lengthy power cut. The wifi operated flawlessly during the blackout and indicated significant battery capacity after powering the equipment continuously for several hours.

Exactly what you need!
I have a cellular router and a power company that isn't super reliable. This is the perfect battery backup to keep my router and phone connected and ride out these small outages that frequently happen. Rather than running a giant UPS system just to keep the internet and phone up (which will beep and scream when off AC power) - the boxes connect right to this battery backup and they run flawlessly and most importantly run silently when the AC power is off. Now when the power goes out (thanks to my laptop battery as well) I can keep working throughout the day with no issue at all. Calls stay connected - internet stays up - and no one knows I just experienced a blink or an outage. Would easily mate up with any router - and I highly recommend you add this to you internet solution.

Acts as a UPS
Someone said that this little unit couldn't power devices if it was charging. It might be true if you exceed what the charger itself (12v / 2.? A) gives the box. It is currently powering a network switch (12v /1 A) and a USB camera (5v / 500mA) right now. Works either plugged in or unplugged/out of power. I wanted this to also power my HDHomeRun box but that one is a center positive and doesn't seem to turn on.

My home router controls all my smart devices, Wi-Fi, and TV and also controls my home phone landline. Yes, I know most people seem to be getting rid of landlines but when you have had a phone number for so long it's hard to get rid of it. If ever we have a power outage we lose everything including the phone. It then seems to take forever for the router to boot up again and get my Wi-Fi back. I thought that having a small UPS for my router would solve a lot of these issues and it sure has. The UPS battery backup arrived well-packaged with a lot of stuff. It comes with its power adapter and a collection of tips that will fit almost any device you would need it for. There are 3 cables included to connect from the UPS to your device. On the UPS there is a UPS-A output as well as a 5V, 9V, and 2 12V DC outputs. My router is 12V DC and the black plug fits it perfectly. I was able to unplug the original adapter for my router and plug my router into the UPS. It was so simple to do and worked perfectly. Now when we have a power failure I will still have my Wi-Fi and my phone. You can plug more than one device into this UPS at a time. It has safety protections that protect from voltage fluctuations, overcurrent, temperature, short circuit, over-discharge, and overcharge. The size is small but it does have a 15000 mAh battery pack so you can get hours of power when you lose your power. I am very happy with this mini UPS. It gives me peace of mind knowing that even with a power outage I do not lose connection with the outside. I plan on getting more of these to use with my security camera system. The price of this is very reasonable and I do recommend it.

What's included: - mini UPS (15000mAh lithium ion battery) - 8 tips - 4 conversion wires - User manual - USB-A adapter The mini UPS by Skazeke is an indispensable piece of equipment especially if you are working from home and wish to safeguard your work. The mini UPS is approximately 16cm long by 11cm wide by about 3cm in height. The unit is made entirely of plastic and features ventilation holes on the sides of the UPS. The UPS can be mounted on a wall however no mounting screws or equipment is provided, but there are mounting holes on the bottom side of the mini UPS should you wish to mount it. I do not have it mounted but with the form factor I have placed it connected to my modem on the same stand and it doesn't take up much room nor does it look particularly out of place. The device weighs about 466 grams so the weight makes the UPS portable should one wish to take it on the go and this is something that needs to be mentioned again, because my full UPS system weighs several pounds compared to this. On the front of the mini UPS there is a power button as well as four LED's that indicate the battery charge remaining. This simple visual is easily seen from a bit of a distance so I can have an idea of how much charge remains. Additionally, on the face, are the DC ports, of which there are four including a 5V, 9V and two 12V all with 2A. This makes the unit quite versatile in its use and can be paired with a variety of end products such as modems, cameras, routers etc, As long as you keep within the constraints of this device it will behave properly and add a sigh of relief if you are working on an important project when the power suddenly cuts out. While this has not happened to me yet since owning the mini UPS, just having it as a backup feels so much better than not. My full sized UPS which has basically served out its time, will be moved elsewhere. What I am particularly pleased with is the fact that there are a variety of tips included which can be used with a variety of devices. While I am singularly focused on backing up my modem, others may not be, and so the fact that there is quite a bit of choice and options, is nice to see. The UPS contains a 15,000 mAh battery which in my rudimentary tests so far, performs as expected. There is nothing really unusual to note about the battery. I have not had the ability to fully test the unit under load with all ports occupied thus far but that's a step that I will be taking. As a result, I cannot say how much time this would give to my modem should the power cut out, but I am certainly expecting a few hours out of the unit. To be perfectly honest, I only need a few minutes since any potential cutting of the power and I would prefer to close up shop on my work and leave what power is in the mini UPS to charge things like phones etc in case of more pressing needs. Hooking the mini UPS system is quite simple. Just charge it fully upon receipt and then you use one of the conversion wires accompanying the unit along with one of the tips to plug into the item of choice and also plug the mini UPS into an outlet. Should there be a power cutoff, the UPS should kick into action to provide a power back up to continue using the item or items it has been connected with. I cannot say whether or not there is a brief split second loss of power for the modem between the instant power is lost and power is converted to the mini UPS. This is the lingering question I have that I will need to resolve. Overall, this is a nice little system to provide backup power to reasonably sized items. This is not something to use with the fridge or anything of that nature, but these days, I almost feel like my PC is as important as my fridge and maintaining a connection to it and/or the internet is critical. So given the battery involved and the form factor of the unit, I do find it interesting and practical and almost a necessity. While I do have some small lingering questions, at this point, I would note that the unit seems to work without any issues, has a nice light form factor with a reasonably sized battery and is portable which makes this slightly unique. Up until I received it I had never really given any thought to having something like this on the road, but who is to say that power is not lost in a hotel room etc. So I would recommend the unit given a couple of the constraints I have mentioned in terms of lack of testing and verification. These are things I will be working on going forward, but so far so good. Cheers,

This uninterruptible power supply keeps networking equipment running even in the event of a power outage fluidly switching over to a built-in powerful 15000mAh battery cells. While its great for stabilizing occasional power fluctuation in voltage this UPS power unit is also a handy power bank becoming a lightweight travel companion to run devices off DC plugs and single USB for smartphones. // Battery The power regulator rail on its chipset produces staggered voltage spiking once pushed to its 1.2A limit input but lacking on sinusoidal transformer. On the back its 12V2A plugs do run consistently at 0.75A to 1A of output alongside its 9V and 5V reaching similar limits of about 5W to 7.5W. At 1.25A input simply means its total power draw can be somewhat limiting. Its built-in 55 watt hour battery backup is high endurance enough to driving nearly 7.5W to 10W of consumption for almost 4 hours on a single charge turning this mini UPS into a portable power station for using DC plugs. In terms of charging performance, does take nearly 6 hours to fully recharge but still allows equipment to run bearing in mind its mostly for less than 10W. // Build Quality Whether its traveling and needing an extra bit of power for certain types of equipment or even wall mounting this uninterruptible power supply for occasional outages, this DC battery is solidly engineered. Its made out of a rigid ABS shell with vents on both sides although I didn't particularly notice it getting warm to the touch except while charging. // Limitations The multiple DC barrel jack ports drive a maximum of 5V to 12V stepped voltage but the amperage of 2A is meant for peak power consumption. Put simply, whether its energy efficient switches without PoE, routers that use 12V but only require 5W to 10W of consistent power, or even security cameras using DC9V this UPS handles it seamlessly around 1A. Relying on a powerful 55Wh battery pack the mini UPS is more than just a 5V/9V/12V rail backup for power outages but a portable power station for DC equipment on the go. It's designed to be versatile in compatibility yet feels lightweight to carry. However has one major limitation of about 10W consistently but does make for a plug & play battery.

The item itself seems to be well put together however for my particular set up, it will not do me much of a favour. I am currently on Fiber and my modem is a 2 pin 120V plug. My Home Automation is a Hubitat Elevation C7 powered by USB Micro. My ASUS router is a DC router - but.....it has the DC barrel into the back of the router....not the UPS. In order to deploy this I would need multiple cabling sets that are not easy to source readily and to ensure they are the appropriate center pin positive or negative and provide the necessary output to all items. I like the idea of this but its a miss for me in my network environment.

I great little UPS to have so that your router doesn't reset due to a power outage. I even had the opportunity to test it as i had a power outage happened. Kept my router and some LED strips going until the power came back around an hour later. It also feels well built and i hear no "electronic" noise out of it while plugged in. I would highly recommend this for people living in area that may often receive blackouts and such.
