Got this sequined tie for my son to go to prom. He wore a black tux with black shirt. His date wore a royal blue sequined gown. Perfect match! They looked great and tie was nice fabric. The knot was a regular tie material with the front of tie with sequins. I would recommend

My husband wore to match daughter for daddy/daughter dance. It was perfect! Not too sparkly but you can tell it has sequin. All the sequin stayed on even with all the dancing and games. The pocket square is tiny and pointless, really. I couldn't fold it in a nice way and just threw it out.

The bride's wedding white dress and the groom's party's blue blazers meant I needed to avoid uncomplimentary contrasts. This tie worked perfectly especially after I put my teeth in. It was also long enough to cover my belt buckle as is required so as not to look like someone who has never worn a tie before.
