I like this filter but the filter material doesn't last very long. This isn't the only filter I have on my 20gal so I put a phosphate sock in it and it works.

I got this for my tank about a month ago. Started experiencing issues with it blowing microbubbles all over the tank and making a horrible suctioning noise. Couldn’t get it to stop. Tried it at every water level possible. The only way to get it to stop was to turn the flow almost off. Rendering it almost useless. The filter cartridges also are garbage, the carbon had all but disintegrated in the back of it.The only redeeming quality was the uv light. That was a nice feature.Started a return with Amazon and was able to drop it off for a refund on a Sunday. Now today, Tuesday, I am getting multiple messages from the seller asking me what was happening and telling me to try all these troubleshooting options that I already tried. When I explained the issue and what I had done to try to remedy the situation, they then told me to replace the motor of the filter. Which even if I still had it, I wouldn’t be doing. That’s why I returned it. So they can replace the motor if they want. Just seems a little ridiculous.

I purchased this aquarium filter for my 20 gallon long tank, at first seemed like a nice filter but then about 3 weeks after setup and run in, i started encountering problems with the skimmer not properly functioning and would seem to sink into the water and just not work correctly. Then the wheel used to adjust the flow rate just stripped out and seemed to break and could not get it to work correctly, I’ve purchased a different filter and will be replacing this one. My recommendation is, there is alot better quality filters on the market than this!!!

Quit extremely well made works awesome in my nano reef the UV is a great lil extra a must have surface skimmer works well

This product would have been great, the only thing is that I can't find a filter replacement. My fish tank water was turning green, when I ordered this product, after 24hrs the water from my fish tank is clean and clear. I loved it. But it's the replacement filter I couldn't find the same brand.

I ship this product back without opening it. I’m sure that it is a great pump, but I did not use it because I went with something different.

This hand back filter is pretty standard for those of us familiar with the aquarium Hobby and was a breeze to put together. I would definitely use a pre-filter in order to give longevity to the media included into cut down on the amount of debris which will lower the rate of flow over time if you've got a fairly messy tank like I do. Overall a solid purchase and hopefully it will send the test of time, although I will say it is a bit noisy and I'm not sure of the propeller is of a very good quality.

Worked great for a month and now it won’t pump effectively. Even with the adjustment all the way open water just trickles out. Even with it cleaned out out I get nothing.

Made in Germany. This speaks for itself. The quality is super and it also cleans. It does its job and most importantly it is quiet. You can't hear it at all.

This little filter is a beast. I have it on my shrimp tank. The tank has a fair amount of shrimp since they keep breeding. I tried growing some algae for the shrimp, but it quicky got out of hand and took over the tank. This filter has a UV light in it, a surface skimmer and is fairly quiet. Even comes with an extra impeller. I have purchased two of these units so far for different tanks.

Just been using it for less then 6 months and it's leaking I had to run to the pet store and get a new one just do my fish wouldn't die I bought a bigger one for my large tank that one seems fine but the smaller one leaks

I ordered this product with the expectation that I was getting a brand new unit. I just received it this afternoon. The part came dirty and used, with parts still in it. Yuck! Now I have to go out of my way to get a new unit. I am very unhappy with this.
