Traditional cotton swabs bend and break easily, and make me fear they will break off in my ear. These are firm and feel like they really are cleaning my ears and will never separate or break apart. I have used this type for many years and have never gone back to the white ones.

These are much nicer than a q-tip. They are strong sticks with tightly woven black cotton. They are more expensive, but they are worth it. Because they are tightly woven they work well in ears(not supposed to) and other cosmetic needs. They also just look nice.
