Myth of the Moon Goddess - The Aradia Chronicles, Books One, Two and Three

This was featured as of one of my DSOA's in April 2013.Purely from a personal point of view, the author made the mistake of putting the Author's Notes at the beginning of the book. Normally, I only tend to read them if I have really enjoyed their work, but as it was presented as the first thing I saw, it was duly read.I do feel that it coloured my perception of the plot for quite a few chapters. The Notes came across as pretentious and condescending ... although I am not sure if the author intended that ... it was just the way I saw it.When I looked finally looked beyond; I gained a little more enjoyment.The plot was a little slow in places, but there this was made up by some quite nice passages sprinkled here and there.That having been said, I still don't think it was for me, and won't be pursuing the rest of the series. I have come to the conclusion (back up by my husband frequently) that I am a shallow thinker with a deep end half the depth of a puzzle. Therefore, for me this was a 3 star read. The more cerebral/spiritual reader may get more out of it than I. Give it a go; make up your own mind if it is for you.There were quite a few errors and bug bears, and as usual they will be detailed in the full Blog Post #414 in January 2014.

I absolutely loved this book so much! It is so beautifully written - reading it feels like xoming home, accepting the goddess in yourself, learning about love and compassion - with believable characters, gripping stories i really truly recommend it xxxxx

Wonderful stories with very engaging characters. So many thought-provoking life lessons are contained within each story. Well worth reading and I look forward to future adventures and spiritual lessons!

April Rane has written an engaging tale of time gone by with colourful characters and a page turning storyline. Highly recommended read. Bring out the Goddess within yourself.
