stand is heavy and will not tip over, but the felt on the bottom (or what ever cheap stuff it is) comes off and you'll will have it all over your counter (black fuzzy stuff) especially it its wet (duh it get wet).don't dry it with a towel because it will get black!i will not buy it again! it drives me nuts!UPDATE: 5 star costumer service! very fast response and resolved my concern to my satisfaction.plus, they're looking for a better material to avoid this happening.

Bought this for the stand and brush, but ended up liking the razor quite a bit. The brush is right in the middle of soft and firm. It works up a great lather. The base of the stand is surprisingly heavy! It’ll easily hold any razor of any weight. It’s tall as well, so you can easily put any razor in the stand. The bowl looks great, but it is very thin and light. It’ll work though. This would look great as a decorative piece as well! I didn’t try the blades it came with. Only Feathers or Astras will get through my thick facial hair. I’m very happy with this purchase!

I needed a new mug brush, and I came across this kit. The brush is nice and soft, though tough and stout. The bristles are a hair on the "pokey" side, but that's the nature of these brushes. The stand is great, and the razor is nice and heavy-though the angle of the blade in this razor wasn't ideal for my shaving style, so I swapped my *known good* shaver head into this handle and the problem was resolved.At the beginning, I did happen to give this brush a sniff and it was pretty noxious. I gave it a few uses and checked it again and there was no dead animal smell to it. Again-it's the nature of real animal hair.

I’m pleased with this product. The packaging was superb, and the razor, brush and soap holder sit well on the stand. I think the soap holder provided is simply to hold and load the soap onto the brush. I use a separate bowl (not included) To create the lather thickness I desire. I rinse the soap puck and the soap holder bowl provided and let The soap puck and bowl dry. (Personal preference In order to keep the soap holder bowl provided as clean and shiny as the stand and razor.)

It works Great!!!! My Grandfat her used this to keep his skin clean shaven or trimmed as he wished. Works really well. All Men should learn how to shave the traditional way to maintain a good shave. You dont need to be clean shaven but atleast have some hair on your face to have Dignity for your skin.

The set looks nice, keeps my shaving stuff neat and the razor is comfortable.

Great gift

I recently took up soapmaking, and made hubby some shaving soap. This set, along with the soap, was his favorite gift this year. Looks very nice on the counter, and is heavy, so it won't tip over easily.

After ordering this, I had second thoughts and decided to cancel the order. I was too late to do so, and I'm really glad about that. I had thought that this set could not be really good quality for the price, but how wrong I was! It's well made, heavy and looks and feels top notch.

Great item, I use it daily, it looks really swanky in my bathroom. The brush is a good quality and lathers up easy. The razer is easy to set up and it has a nice weight to it. There is a skill to using a single blade after all these years of disposables but it is worth the effort.

I was very pleased with this shaving set. I found it difficult to choose as there were so many different ones but this one looks nice, seems to be good quality and with a beautiful soft brush. My man was very happy with it.

Bought as Christmas gift for other half who annoyingly grows his facial hair over winter. Blades very sharp which is great but does mean care is needed if not used to this type of razor. Love it as brings back childhood memories as my gramps used this type if razor. Bowl fine and brush fine. No loss of bristles on it.

As I already had razor and brush this item tidied the bathroom shelf, it also looks good and handy to use.Good value for money
