I did a ridiculous amount of research before buying an adapter, and ultimately I went with this one because it was a USB stick and I didn’t want a box with a cord taking up space. Connection was easy the first time. There was a small lag time when skipping songs, but otherwise it functioned relatively well. 2 weeks after I got it we went on a road trip and switched from my phone to my husbands, and that’s where I started having problems. When I tried connecting it back to my phone, it took a much longer time to set up. The lag time became annoyingly slower than before, and I tried to answer a phone call and it would not let me pick it up from my steering wheel control nor my touch screen. I had high hopes for this one but I had to send it back.

I bought this in October of 2024. When I first bought this and used it, it worked perfectly. This product is practically plug-n-play, it connects to your phone easily once you go through the pairing process.You don't need to rely on a cable that can be interfered with from your environment, this is a direct connection to the hardware of this small device. However, sometimes there is really bad latency, but most of the time there is little latency. I think for a wireless connector, that's pretty solid compared to what I had before.The product I had before was a CarlinkIt adapter, that adapter is not good for long term use due to it's reliance on an unshielded or unprotected cable. This cable would be prone to electromagnetic interference while on the road and would make that adapter unreliable. This adapter that I bought from Sunmeyer completely negates that issue and the need for a cable due to it's compact size and direct connection.This product's long term use is just okay, I don't think it's the best but I still think this product is better than most of those adapters out there. If you buy this for the long term, be ready for your Google Maps or Waze crashing and becoming unusable during your drive. This issue does not happen often, but it occurs if you cancel your route while you're following it. This can result in your adapter being borderline unusable, it's resolved by unplugging the adapter and plugging it back in. Also, the product can suffer connectivity issues, but depending on your vehicle it can be resolved while you're driving by just exiting Android Auto and selecting it again or by restarting your infotainment display. This issue also doesn't happen often.To briefly conclude, this is a solid product. It's absolutely worth buying compared to most of the wireless Android Auto adapters out there. Just keep in mind that Wireless Android Auto eats through battery and that this adapter is prone to connectivity issues and navigation apps crashing in the long term.

This is the best one yet I've got so far. I have 2 others for my other cars but this is the quickest to hook up. It's instantaneous which is weird. As son as you start the engine ,it's ready to go. The other 2 take a few seconds before launching. Easy to install ( less than 5 minutes) and compact.

I ordered this device for my Audi Q5 2019 which do not have wireless CarPlay. After checking many reviews in YouTube, I got this but the experience is not great. This device works but has some issues. As per the instructions, I plugged in to USB-A and then connected to my iPhone via Bluetooth. As expected it detected and my car display shown the CarPlay screen. Dongle was disconnected from Bluetooth and connected to Sunweyer WiFi, not sure why. If you have a high quality sound system, sound quality decreases to half as the musics plays via CarPlay using this dongle. I have bang and olufsen sound system and felt like a cheap speaker while listening music using CarPlay with this dongle. Other issue I faced, even you have turned off your car this dongle will be still connected to your phone WiFi and do not allow your home WiFi to connect at least for 10 mins. So overall this device works but a lot to be fixed for the seem-less experience. I’m returning it.

I use this in my Mercedes GLE, which has an unfortunate feature of not having wireless CarPlay AND having the only connection for CarPlay right next to the cup holders and wireless charger. This thing is REALLY small, so it doesn't intrude into either, and I can still slide the center console cover closed. As is typical with these devices, there is a small bit of lag, but it's less than the larger and more expensive one I had before.

When it connected to the car it gave a smooth car play experience. Unfortunately it would only auto-connect around 1/2 the time. Firmware was updated to latest revision as of July 2024 and it made no difference. Other times it would connect and the car play screen would not show, which would require it to be disconnected and reconnected or it would not connect period.Purchased a similar adapter from another manufacturer (MSXTTLY) and it works 100% of the time and connects automatically, so connectively issues appear to be a result of the Sunweyer dongle itself.
