Best valued boot on the market!
Having owned boots that range from $275-$800 I can honestly say these are some of the best valued boots on the market. Out of the box they are super comfortable and fit perfect. A lot of times you have to go down a half size but that wasn’t the case with these. I went with what I typically wear in sneakers. The leather is plenty thick and conditioned well from the manufacturer. No loose threads or any other defects you’d normally expect from handcrafted footwear. Sole is nice and grippy in wet conditions as well. The family has been producing footwear for 3 generations and they seem to keep improving with time.Another reason to consider these is the fact that they donate a pair to African Rangers for every 10 pairs they sell. They also pay their workers 100% of the legal wage rate, offer bonuses to their staff and even gave their workers a 10% stake in the company. They locally source all materials as well.I’m really happy with them so far and look forward to wearing them for years to come.I went ahead and waxed mine to help with water. Boot on the left is waxed vs unwaxed. I actually prefer the darker green color now.Be aware that some conditioners may alter the color of your boot, so be sure to do your research.Buy with confidence!

I really wanted to like these...
Ordered these with several other boots to try on. As someone else mentioned, the sole bulges out right in the center. This creates a weird foot balance from the get go, it's annoying while sitting down, as you can easily roll your foot around in circles like a spinning top that's coming to stop, best way I can explain it.I wear a size 8.5 in most shoes. These ran small. I would go half a size bigger, or maybe a full size bigger. The insoles that come with them are a nice rubbery foam feeling, but add to the stiffness of the boot. I immediately threw in Superfeet Oranges, but that did not take away from the bulge in the soles...They definitely are visually wide looking boots too, and with my smaller feet, my wife immediately screamed, "THEY'RE SO CUTE!".... Not sure how I felt, but I wanted these to do double duty as a daily city boot and a field boot for work.I might try a size up, but I have so many other boots to try on currently... I may never get around to it. Really love the build quality. As someone who prefers to wear all black and grey everything. I must say, the full black boot, is very black. I may switch it up and go with their brown shades if I get around to trying a different size.

100% would buy another
I looked around for quite a while to find a good quality affordable boot for summer and these were the winner. No regrets for the money I couldn't ask for a better boot and they have become my every day go to boot.

Feels GREAT!
My boots fit me perfectly right out the box. They seem as well constructed as the reviews I’ve read/watched. They sure are comfortable. I may not even swap out the insole.I definitely think these are great value.

Incredible uncomfortable hot painful boot
I knew going into this that these boots weren't designed to be comfortable they were designed to mimic what it's like to walk in bare feet, however the way in which it does this forces your foot into a unnatural position, at least in my case as a person with wide feet. Also the top tongue is attached to the side of the boot and you have to fold it over to get your eyelets to lay flat to lace the boot. This creates a very painful pinching fold point that digs into the top of my feet and ankle all day. The first day I tried to wear these I had to change them when I was done my feet hurt that bad. They also don't have the best grip on linoleum or smooth flooring, they also squeak quite a bit if it was wet. They're also incredibly difficult to get on and off even if you loosen them up all the way or pull the laces out like I did the first time. And saying is how there is no breathing to these boots at all expect to have incredibly hot sweaty feet and if you have a photo or problem these will exacerbate that. If you do order these and try and get a refund good luck I could not. If you need a comfortable supportive work boot look elsewhere.
