Typhoon Non-Stick Paella Pan 39cm

This pan went rusty very quickly and has since been thrown away after only a few uses!!! Not worth buying!!!

I bought this pan quite a while ago so it has had a fair amount of use now. It is a heavy pan, of quite thick steel, so hasn't warped or developed "hot-spots". I found that the non-stick coating wore off fairly quickly, even with ordinary use and with care being taken to use wooden implements only. Unlike another reviewer, the non-stick did not peel off, but there is now only non-stick left around the edges. Where the non-stick has worn off the steel is exposed and, obviously, goes rusty when washed. However, I do like this pan and continue to use it as it is such a good size. I use it like I would a traditional paella pan, that is, wiping it with oil after washing, so it doesn't rust. Another point is that the handles get mighty hot, so you do need a pan holder to move it around!

Great product

I actually came on here to buy another one, after blaming someone for ruining my pan. But the reviews tell the story. It was a great pan, nice and deep so food doesn't spill over the sides, and great for making large batches of sauces. However the non-stick coating doesn't seem to last, rendering the pan rusty and unusable.Typhoon - please let me know when you've sorted the problem, because I could really do with another one of these!

Basically this is a big paella dish, that also happens to be non stick. It's a good price, which is a bought it, and it's big enough to cook for 8-10 people.Don't buy this if you want to do paella for 2 people as it is far too big really.If you want a pan that is large enough for a family or a dinner party, then this is a really useful addition to the kitchen.

We do not make paella regularly but obviously you need a pan in the kitchen for when the need arises. After less than a dozen uses the non-stick coating started flaking away + went into the food, which had to be thrown away. The pan certainly looks the part but I would not recommend it as, in my opinion, it is not fit for purpose over a period of time.

Wish I'd discovered this pan years ago. It is perfect for all manner of cooking. Perfect for spag bol, stir fries, stews, paella, etc. Very generous size and great price.
