I do not normally write product reviews although I always read them to help to determine if I want to buy a product or not. But I have to write one for this product. It is a great little piggy palace that is made of real hardwood that has a smooth finish on both sides of all the pieces. This makes it easy to wipe off any mess. The directions were excellent with pictures, and it is super easy to put together. A small screwdriver is provided, but I used my electric drill with a allen screwdriver bit to insert the screws which were also provided. The screws were long enough to create a sturdy structure which was nice since many times you get screws that are so short they will not hold the pieces together. These screws were just the right length. All the predrilled holes lined up to make all the pieces fit perfectly together. I do agree with other reviews that the little pad provided for the top bunk could be a little thicker and should have a rubber-like bottom to keep it from skidding around. I just used one of the small flannel blankets I had and folded it to fit. I would highly recommend this product for it studiness, ease of assembly, and quality. I have two baby males guinea pigs and as soon as I put it in their cage, they went right up the stairs to investigate. I ordered the large which fit perfectly in their cage which measures 47 inches by 24 inches. It also has enough room in the bottom area that both of them can move around freely. This is a winner and I thank the company for caring about the quality of their product.

Didn't know what to expect. It turned out to be a very sturdy hideaway under a nice bed area. Ramp is very sturdy . Easy to put together, but read and look at the pictures so you don't get ahead of yourself thinking you know what's next. Will buy again if I need to.

Surprisingly, this house was an amazingly good value. You can get a house this size thats made with much thinner wood that just connects together with little cut outs for around $27-$29. (Like the other one in the picture) This was about $32 and the wood is thick! You actually screw the pieces in. It came with a little screw driver and screws and the directions are easy to follow. It came with the blanket also. I wasn’t expecting that! Two of my younger piggies have and can climb the ladder. My short haired bigger Guinea pig doesn’t climb anything. If your pig isn’t a climber, then I’d go with a house without the top and ladder. My girls love going in and out of it. They feel so comforted inside. I’m very happy with this house!

I had this one for a while. My piggies love to be up high and the ramp was great. However, cleaning it was pretty difficult. The wood was fine, but it was the ramp. The carpet ramp was a bit difficult to clean. The below half is also a bit small, bigger piggies may find it difficult to get under.

Holding up well so far. Piggies have trouble chewing on it unlike cardboard boxes which is nice. It’ll last a good while. Took about 10min to put together. Love the screws and sturdiness. I actually sawed off two of the arch pieces next to where the ramp goes at the top of the hidey because instead of using the ramp they wanted to jump up and these were in the way. Now they can jump up no issues! Love it and super cute.

The pig loves it. Since they are notoriously fussy, that is an outstanding review and no more needs to be said.

Easy to set up and my guineas love it. I originally thought the entry ways were going to be too small but my fully grown female piggies fit pretty well through them.

There are many of these small animal castles for sale, but most seem to use a system of pop-together tabs. This castle, however, is securely held together by screws. It's a really quality product! My guinea pigs have used it for a month, and it's going strong with no signs of wear. The piggies try to chew on it all the time, but so far, they haven't even been able to scratch the surface. So the material is well-designed for animals who love to chew. My piggies don't use the upper portion of the structure much, but love to hide underneath. The cloth that is included for the upper surface is a soft polar fleece on one side, and cotton on the other. I'm not a fan of this cloth. It's floppy and has no grip, so when the guinea pigs stand on it, it's constantly sliding out from under their feet causing them to stumble. Also, it doesn't seem to have a waterproof layer, so if pets were to use the top area a lot and pee on there, I worry that it could ultimately damage the the wood below. Overall, I am super happy with this purchase.
