695 Medium Bat Box - Natural Wood

I was dubious about this bay box as it was the cheapest I’d found by far yet still looked better than most I’d found online. It arrived and I was blown away! Honestly it’s just as nice in person, well built, great texture. Enough space for 2 bags, easy to attach to a wall. I’m not sure how long it will last, but I can add a couple of extra screws in the future if necessary

Great Bat Box. Very easy to fit to my tall fencing. Looks sufficiently "rustic" to blend into garden BUT definitely sturdily made. Like it will last for years. We have bats around but am unsure where they roost - so hopefully this will help them, or their baby bats, survive & thrive. Do read up on positioning your bat box; height, access, etc. There are lots of the market around £10-£12 but I loved the look of this online and even more so up close. Highly recommend it.

The proof of the pudding will be in the eating ie if the bats actually use it successfully once it is put up! It seems sturdy and looks exactly like the photo.

The batbox is not draught proof. You will have to seal the log joints before you fit.

Purchased three but only so far used two that are both together 4.5m high up a silver birch trunk in a small birch copse. Placed out in April and amazingly had resident bats in at least one of the two in late June. I appreciate that siting and position relative to prevailing weather and sun during day are very important but so is the actual box itself. The proof of that is simple, we have resident bats!

I can not comment on durability or usage because it is up the first year and before summer.The fixing on a vertical surface though was not flexible enough to use on any other object only the flat wall as it has a picture frame hook on its back. ( I am using it on a tree trunk and it is a bit wobbly.)

Leider sind die schmalen Nägel zT so reingehauen, dass sie ins Innere der Höhle reinstehen, da würde sich eine Fledermaus dran verletzen ggfs. Versuchen, diese Nägel rauszudrücken und neu reinzuhauen.Die Dekozweige vorne zt wurmstichig.
