I used to get terrible razor burn, but this alum block has changed everything. It quickly stops any bleeding and soothes my face. I even use it as a natural deodorant – no scent, but super effective. The size is generous, so it'll last a long time, and the plastic case makes it perfect for tossing in my gym bag.

First time using this and was pleasantly surprised at its effectiveness in preventing post shave rash on my neck which has been a problem that I’ve had for years.

Nice quality product which does what it says on the tin. I use this block every time I shave and find it leaves the skin less irritated in a matter of seconds.The way I use this is make the stone wet as well as my face (lukewarm water on my face and cold water on the stone), rub stone gently enough around the whole area I shaved, leave for a min and wash of with ice cold water. Maybe the 2nd best part of the shave besides putting on some good balm. 10/10

New to using an alum bar.I’m guessing it serves its purpose as it does sting a bit when applied after a shave. I may have shaved a bit aggressive to cause the sting as after another shave there was no real sting to it.

Very effectively soothed any irritation after shavette shaves (I'm new to this form of shaving).It's compact and comes in a handy plastic case- ideal for wash bag.I would certainly buy it again.

Like the rounded edges on this alum block. Very smooth finish compared to others I have used, no ragged edges. Leaves my skin feeing nice and fresh after a close shave. Comes in a handy case for travelling too.

I had an alum block for 2-years, which I used regularly and wore it down so much I needed to buy a new one. My original brand was out of stock, so I looked to this one which on the face of it, looks great.What I found was the block had quite a few 'air pockets' in it. For an alum block, this is a terminal diagnosis. If just a bead of water is left in contact with the block, it will slowly dissolve and lose all integrity, rendering it useless. These 'pockets' inside of the block mean that if you let a small drop of water in, you are not going to be able to get it out easily, and it will eventually break down in a few weeks, which is what happened to mine. Perhaps I had a lemon though.Either way, mine broke down (despite my making sure I dried it out after every use), and I brought a different one (in fact, the original brand I usually buy) which is doing great (with no air pockets!).EDIT [04/02/25]: The seller has sent me a full refund unprompted, and so I have adjusted the review rating to 3/5 from 1/5, for full transparency.
