Probably the worst thing in my life that I have had to put together and I am a carpenter that has been building things for over 25 yrs ....The principle of it slotting together sounded great but in reality it didn't just slot together ....I had to manipulate the tabs for them to join together and in the end I couldn't be bothered if they slotted home together properly I had the old woman thinking I was some kind of idiot for the length of time it took me ...It was all nicely painted blue and now it looks like it has been dragged behind a car with the amount of scratches .I initially bought one then added another to the order ...but on reflection that was a mistake and the 2nd one is going back . In fact it ruined a good Saturday .

This racking is superb for the price. I think the "easy to assemble" description may have been slightly overstated - it's not DIFFICULT to put together, but a few more pointers about how the metal bits click together would have helped me. That said, it took less than an hour to put together and has been usefully keeping stuff tidy in my garage ever since. There is no sign of issues with warping or instability and I'lld efinitely be ordering more.

Purchased 8 of these to organise my shed, even though i measured them, they were still a little smaller than i had expected, only 4 of the 5 shelves where useful given the height of them.Despite only needing to be knocked together with a rubber mallet, i did find that the metal tabs kept bending out and not locking in correctly, which then required me to remove the piece, bend the tab back and try again. So far i have only assembled 4 of the 8 and each one is taking a good 1.5 hrs due to the tab bending problem.

This is a sturdy and well-engineered kit that goes together smoothly. An additional person is an advantage when putting this together, even if just to hold down one end of the bars while putting them into the grooves, i recommend using a mallet for this so as not to damage the frame itself.it took me about 30 minutes to put together.The photos in the accompanying manual could be clearer, but it's still pretty evident what they mean. All the bars are symmetric so no worries about getting them the wrong way up. assembly was quite easy the only issue i had was a few of the bars wouldn't go in easy but a hard enough whack of the mallet sure did the trick!The empty racking is quite light and portable, so you can build it anywhere and then move it into the location you require it. I would recommend holding it from the middle to stop it swaying back and forth. The product as a whole is very stable and rigid - really good value for money. I will be purchasing several more of these to add into my shed.

Good for the priceThe galvanised ones are easier to assemble than the painted ones because if the paint is a bit thick it makes the shelf tabs a bit too big to easily fit into the slots for them (you can bend the slots a bit wider with a flat blade screwdriver easy enough but there's 16 tabs for each shelf)

Great shelves, but a bit fiddly to assemble (although technically no tools are required).The way these fit together does mean that some of the paint comes off, and you do need to take care when aligning the parts. otherwise once up they are sturdy and solid and a great addition to a workshop/storage area/Shed/ Garage etc

Great little rack that is nice and solid once put together. Although easy to put together, the mechanism with which it interlocks actually scrapes the paint coating off during assembly (hence not a five star review).

I had high hopes of a sturdy simple to assemble rack, that only needed a mallet according to Amazon's description. Sadly this proved not to be the case - not a single item pieced together as it should, the tabs did not fit into the slots no matter how careful you are with or without using a mallet. Avoid.
