The Airbus A380 Lufthansa is a stunning replica that any aviation enthusiast would appreciate. The attention to detail is commendable, with precise markings and a sturdy metal build that captures the essence of the iconic Sky Jumbo Airliner. However, some parts of the model, particularly the landing gear, feel a bit fragile and prone to breakage if mishandled. Overall, it makes for an excellent gift choice, providing both aesthetic appeal and a sense of admiration for one of the world's largest passenger aircraft.

This is a solid, die-cast model, that is very well-built. There are several pieces that go together to make it, and you can tell that all of them are made of metal. The fuselage is one piece, the wings (together) are one piece, each horizontal stabilizer is one piece, and the vertical stabilizer is one piece. These pieces are all put together very well, and there is no looseness to any of them. Whatever method they used to attach them together, they did a great job. The fuselage, I'm not sure if it sounds solid or not - I lean toward it being holllow, but the remaining pieces are clearly solid.The stand is plastic, and comes as two pieces that you assemble easily. The base is clear and the upper is translucent, so your attention is not drawn away from the plane itself.I'm impressed with the detail on the model, whether it is painted on, or some other form of transfer art, it looks good, is detailed, and seems like it will last a long time without being peeled or chipped off.For the price, this is an excellent model of an A380. Photo with a ruler in order to give an accurate impression of scale.

Full disclosure, I received this free of charge. This is the second one of these I have received, the other being a 737 in American Airlines livery. These are nice, no-frills little aircraft models that make great desktop or shelf displays for anyone who is interested in civil aviation. For several years I flew multiple times per week for work, and I have flown Lufthansa many times, starting with my first visit to Germany in 1996. I have flown Lufthansa to and from the US, to Frankfurt, Munich, Vienna, Istanbul, even Kiev. This model brings back all those happy memories for me. The model itself is die cast metal. The livery looks good, it’s not some cheap sticker, it’s at least a proper decal (if you wanted it as a kid’s toy you could probably give it a nice thick coat of aerosol varnish to preserve the paint). The base is two piece plastic and goes together easily by hand. I’m impressed with this range so far for the price point and would not hesitate to buy more if they had particular aircraft or liveries I wanted.

This small scale A380 looks decent to our eyes. We're not 1:400 scale airplane collectors, just aviation fans and of the Airbus A380 in particular. This model features the recognizable but now older Lufthansa livery with the yellow logo on the tail but it misses most of the gray paint on the bottom of the aircraft. There are a few other minor inaccuracies if one looks closely but I imagine the target audience for this model isn't going to demand exacting detail and structural accuracy.The paint job on one side of the blue tail is poorly applied. My pictures don't capture that very well but what looks like fingerprints out of the box is actually washed out color. The other side is well applied.While the model looks good on the display stand, that's where it will stay because the model is not designed to have landing gear. That's too bad because the airplane can't really be used in a model airport display without them.The biggest failing of this model is its advertised size. If this model were truly 1:400 scale it would have to be approximately 7.2" long and not the 5.5" that it actually is. And the wingspan would have to be wider than 6.1" accordingly. This model is actually sized at 1:500 scale and not 1:400.The build itself is solid, all metal, and weighs 4 oz (114 g). The wings are attached to the fuselage solidly with no noticeable movement between the two parts. The model has sharp pointy bits and IMO is not appropriate for little kids who will be apt to cut themselves on it.At its highest point the stand is 2.5" tall. The base has a tapered shape that is 2.1" wide at the front, 1.5" at the back and 2.5" deep. The mounting point is sloped to display the A380 at a nice climbing angle.Overall this is a nice enough display model. It's not one for the serious collector but certainly enjoyable enough for everyone else to display and occasionally swoosh around. We just have to be careful where we grab it to avoid the sharp pointy parts. That and the wrong scale costs this model a couple stars.

I thought this was a bit bigger than it was, but honestly - that (for me), is a plus, not a minus! I live in a NYC apartment, so you know how finite our space is, so this really worked out well for me (I was racking my brain trying to figure out where to put it, but the size is perfect!It's about 4-5 inches (I didn't measure - I put my hand up there for scale), and also die-cast metal (another plus!). The stand isn't as tall or as sturdy as I would have hoped, but it's sufficient. The detailing is AMAZING. I'm a HUGE Mayday/Air Crash Investigation fan and I've always wanted to own a few model airplanes to lay around my office/studio.I love this little thing - I'm getting the Qantas next!

I bought this product for my office, as Iove to travel. I have other model planes and wanted to add to the shelves. This was a bit smaller than I expected, but still adds to the look of my plane collection. A decent purchase if you want to add to your plane collection or can serve as a nice token gift for the travel enthusiast.

Dieses wunderschöne Flugzeugmodell sollte auf keinem Schreibtisch oder im Regal fehlen.Verarbeitet ist das Modell sehr hochwertig.Die aufgetragene Lackierung weist keinerlei Einschlüsse auf, ebenso sind der Schriftzug wie auch die Türen und Fenster sorgfältig aufgetragen und selbst aus größerer Entfernung problemlos zu erkennen.Zudem sieht das Flugzeugmodell in seiner klassisch Weißen Lackierung und dem in einem schönen Dunkelblau gehaltenen Seitenleitwerk einfach umwerfend schön aus, womit es sich auf jedem Schreibtisch oder der Kommode harmonisch einfügt und der absolute Hingucker ist.Hat man das Flugzeugmodell aus seiner Verpackung befreit und hält es in den Händen, spürt man sofort wie hochwertig es verarbeitet ist.Die Tragflächen wurden detailgetreu nachgebildet und auch die Triebwerke sehen dem Original sehr ähnlich.Zudem trägt das recht hohe Gewicht des Modells zur Verarbeitungsqualität hervorragend bei.Der Zusammenbau des Modells ist mit wenigen Handgriffen in ebenso wenigen Sekunden abgeschlossen.Dazu einfach den milchig Weißen Ständer in den transparenten Sockel schieben und das kleine Ende des Ständers in die Unterseite des Flugzeugs stecken.Schon ist das Flugzeug zusammengebaut und verleiht jedem Schreibtisch einen unvergleichlichen Flair, sowie versprüht es die Dynamik als würde es jeden Moment abheben.Wer schon länger auf der Suche nach einem nicht nur originalgetreuen, sondern auch wunderschönem Flugzeugmodell des größten Flugzeugs der Welt dem Airbus A380 ist, der liegt mit diesem genau richtig.Ganz viel Freude beim dekorieren des Schreibtisches mit diesem einfach wunderschönen Flugzeugmodell wünscht,MettDroid 😊👋

Modelo de un Airbus A-380 bastante rígido y conseguido, aunque algunos detalles como proporciones no se han pulido demasiado. Aún así, para decoración queda muy bien.
