Fit on no problems, rubber bushings to keep the quiet and fit is good. Probably will never use them as a tow point but I think you could tow an aircraft carrier with one of these things!

BACKGROUND:I own a Jeep Wrangler and as anyone who spends any time offroading along can tell you, you can never have too much recovery gear. Besides, it's better to have it and not need it than the other way around.So, when Vine suggested this item, I decided it might be worth a review in exchange for the heavily discounted price that I get it for.INITIAL OBSERVATIONS:Might as well start off with various measurements. These were achieved with a digital caliper -- definitely not the best machinist quality caliper around, but it has been accurate enough for me over the years.Measured pin diameter: 0.887"Measured shackle thickness: 0.907"Distance across shackle ring: 0.943" to 1.108"Distance across flats of portion of shackle where pin goes through: 1.824"Length of exposed pin inside shackle: 1.385"Total width of shackle: 3.861"Distance from pin to inner edge of shackle ring: 3.92"Inner diameter of shackle ring: 2.281"COMPLAINTS / ISSUES:If you are using these shackles with chains, the fact that it has a somewhat sharp corner on the inner ring probably is not going to matter much, but if you are using it with a strap or rope, it is going to create pressure points and that is where the strap or rope is probably going to fail.IMPRESSIONS:The shackles definitely seem beefy and I suspect that they will withstand everything that I might use them for,POSSIBLE FUTURE MODS:Maybe make some pulleys to put inside of them so that they can also act as snatch blocks.CONCLUSION:They appear to meet their specifications and to be perfectly acceptable for the task at hand, although I do have concerns about the somewhat sharp pressure points on the inner surface of the ring. These are far and away the thickest shackles I’ve ever ordered, and I have little doubt that they’ll stand up to whatever I put them through. They are heavy duty metal that is well-coated with no imperfections. The vinyl spacers also seem pretty high quality to ensure the shackles don’t rattle around on your recovery points. The fire engine red I ordered is bright and easy to find, so even if you’re bogged down in the mud and need a tow out, you should be able to see it pretty easily. A locking screw would have been nice to include, but the threads feel sticky enough that I don’t think it would back out after repeated tugs with a snatch strap.My only hesitation with these is that they don’t seem to know how many pounds are in a ton. All the photos and the shackles themselves advertise 10T. That’s 20,000lbs, which isn’t shown anywhere in the product description, which states a 26,666lb WLL and “80 ton” MBS. Normally, I’d deduct a star for this kind of inconsistency in stats, but these shackles are just so incredibly beefy that I think they could put any number on there and they’d still hold up. I’m very satisfied with these.
