Overall a great chair with good adjustment for taller people.
Overall I'm very impressed with this chair. I was looking for a wide chair as a lot of chairs are made for tiny people. The width of the seat provides a good amount of space for people with "big hips." It was one of the easiest chairs I've put together. One thing to be careful of is if you are not very tall. Even at 6'1", at the lowest position, my feet are flat on the floor. You can be a bit shorter but it will depend on your legs. I have a sensitive bottom so cushions are pretty good. I have to use another insert like the purple seat cushion but this is mainly due to my particular demands. Looks great at my desk and pretty stable. Don't expect much "rocking" but overall stable and won't easily tip over even in recline position unless you are pretty heavy. I"m about 200 lbs and don't have a concern. We will see on durability but it feels good.

Great Chair...bit of a read, but good info maybe...
This is a bit long, but maybe will help someone. The chair is great. I have been looking for a chair for several months, and finally settled on this one. My only hang-up was that I really wanted genuine leather, which this chair is not. The chairs with genuine leather are either (a) priced well over $1k, or (b) are cheap junk. This chair replaces my old, genuine leather chair, that was less than 3 years old. Unfortunately, it fell into the "cheap junk" category, as I came to find out. I had ordered that chair, just based on the leather...and in fact that is the ONLY part of the chair that held up. I replaced the base when it broke, replaced the hydraulic lift when it broke, and had to re-work the arm rests so they would stop falling off. The sides and back were also deteriorating...so quite literally, the ONLY "good" part of that chair was the actual leather itself. So, apologies for the back story, but that leads me into the review of this chair. In putting it together, I could easily see that this chair is hands down much more well-made than my old one. The base of the old one appeared to be a cast metal or some kind. Problem with cast metals are that they tend to be brittle...which is exactly what happened to me…one of the legs broke off with no warning. This chair's base is welded steel...I'm pretty confident it's not going anywhere. Second is the comfort. Lesson learned from the old chair is that if it appears to be thin padding, it definitely is. After a year or so, I had to add more fill to the old chair to keep it from being so "flat.” It was filled with some sort of cubed foam. This chair has the spring-cushion seat, and bolstered back with lumbar support. It is very comfortable, and the padding is 2, maybe 3 times thicker than the old chair. While the covering of this chair is not genuine leather, it does have a very good feel, looks to be of high quality, and is breathable - which would have been my biggest complaint had it not been. The arm rests are generous in size, and fit comfortably under the desk without hitting. I probably could have done without the footrest, but suppose it may be nice to have at some point. The tilt features work very well...plenty of firm resistance, but not so much to force you up straight, or be horizontal with a simple lean back...the tension is just right. Putting the chair together was easy...took me maybe 30 minutes, and half of that was easily spent just unpacking all the parts, as they were well protected in the box. I would agree with what some others have said about needing a second set of hands with getting the back on. I managed okay, just me, but probably should have had my wife come help...but you know, men can do it all on their own...So, all in all, I'm very happy with this chair, thus far. Hopefully it will withstand the test of time...if I can even get three years out of it, that's okay...I feel a lot better about getting a $2-300 chair every 3 years, than I do about spending $700+ each time. Some photos for reference...you can see how thick the padding is, compared to the other chair.

Durable, comfortable enough, and did I mention durable?
I just received and assembled this chair today, I'll give my review and then follow up after a year if I remember to. First impression is out of the box, assembling was very simple. The frame of the chair is definitely sturdy and well built. once assembled the first impression sitting on the chair, feels a little stiff on the back, BUT, it's new. it'll break in. the faux leather is nice, the padding is alright, I'm used to Serta office chairs, which are comfy as hell, but last as long as Zebra stripe gum. I digress. I am not used to only the back of the chair leaning back, and not the whole thing, including the seat you sit on. That's odd for just the back to lean back, but it's not bad and in one day have gotten used to it. The leg rest is fine, haven't decided if I like it or not, but the seat itself is so big I can sit cross under legged in it fine anyway.TLDR, I'd buy this chair again. it's different from what I'm used to, but it's comfy and it's absolutely durable.

Big, beautiful, and comfy!
This chair is meant for big and tall people but I liked the roominess of the seat, the cushioned armrests, and the beautiful color so I went for it. After 12 years in my ergonomic office chair, this chair is a soft, comfy, luxurious treat!! The seat has pocketed coils which was important to me bc my old chair's seat was so hard I had to buy cushions for it, but it was still hard and very uncomfortable. This new chair seat was very firm when I first sat in it, which had me a bit disappointed. But within a few short weeks, it is softening up and I absolutely love it!! It is very sturdy and when I rock back, I don't worry about falling. The footrest is great when you just want to change position and put your feet up for awhile. But know you will need to have your knees bent. It's not meant for laying your legs straight out in front of you like a e recliner.I do use a lumbar cushion just because since it's for larger people, the padding doesn't hit my back in the right spot. I'm 5'6" for reference. My chair did arrive in a damaged box. Not the seller's fault at all. Upon inspection after assembly (which I did all by myself btw), I discovered a small area on the armrest padding that had gotten scuffed. When I contacted customer service, they sent me an Amazon gift card to compensate me, and also sent the nice, upgraded wheels and shorter cylinder.I am very happy with my big, beautiful chair from Excebet and would recommend it without hesitation.
