It works. But still a little long so I can't fit it in it side slide.

This is a great replacement for the temperature probe on your Ninja Foodie Smart Grill. It works just as the original and even offers about 9 1/2" more length so you can get the food a little farther away from the unit while it is resting. I like to monitor the temperature and always wait the 5 minutes before pulling the probe out so all the juices don't just immediately pour out if removed too soon. But the best thing about this one over some of the other replacements is that this one will still fit into the magnetic storage holder that comes with the machine. The cord and the probe are a little longer, but it still fits in the holder. Sweet.Oh, and just a tip for those who don't know. You don't want to let the cord get in the water when you wash it. Just clean the probe end itself under hot running water, and clean the cord and plug with a damp rag or towel. That's what usually ruins these in the first place. I think some people just throw them in the sink and wash them. That's a big no no and a recipe for early failure. If your Ninja ever says "Plug In" and the thermometer is plugged in, it probably means your thermometer has failed. A new thermometer is usually all that is needed to fix it. Temp registers low by 30°f

We tried this thermostat several times on different items, and the temperature was off considerably. For example, when trying it on steaks set to cook to 155*, they were almost burnt when the probe showed them ready to flip. The end result was a steak way overcooked. The next time I tried it I used a temperature probe to test, and after 7 minutes of cooking this probe showed the internal temperature at only 72* while the probe I used to verify was showing over 115*. I have since stopped using it and will be replacing it with an actual probe from Ninja.Edit - After posting my review, the seller reached out to me offering assistance and trying to make it right which I appreciate. I have no issue with them and appreciate their quick response.

We use our Ninja grill/air-fryer at least a few times a week. Everything from fish to steak. The temperature probe that came with our Ninja was getting pretty worn so we were excited to get this replacement probe.It worked great, just like the original probe. But this replacement was even better because of its longer length. The original was 18” long whereas this replacement version was 27.5” long. Much better! Having that extra length gives you more flexibility when using the probe and making sure it doesn’t get caught on anything as it goes from the plug outside the machine to the food inside.Very happy with this probe and would definitely recommend it if your Ninja needs a new probe, or just an upgraded probe with a longer length.
