SPORT Men's Phoenix Splice Jammer Swimsuit

Great quality and appearance. The fit is a little small—I wear a 34 in men’s pants, and a 36 is tight but not too tight on me. I did have a 38 before that felt too loose—ordered it knowing how small they run. Of course, I’m a chunky 50-something year-old guy, not a skinny kid. So go for at least 2” more than your pants’ waist size.These last about a year with regular use, then start to get some worn areas. Thanks to the liner, no peep shows unlike with Speedo (no rear liner), but still time to update.FWIW I swim a couple of times a month in heavily chlorinated pools. I don’t launder much, as I’ve heard this breaks down the fabric faster than just rinsing and air drying.They’re not super-cheap but IMO worth it for the quality.

I have swum several miles in these now. I really like the quality and feeling of durability so far. TYR is known for a quality product, so it doesn't surprise me. I run in them also and they are pretty comfortable for that too. I think sizing is key here though. I listened to other reviews and bought up. I am a 33/34 waist and the 36 is a good snug fit. Couldn't see fitting into a 34. I would also add these are made for a swimmers/runners body. If you are carrying more than a little extra weight in the waist or thighs, I do not think these will be comfortable.

I previously had the Speedo Endurance swim suit which is made of nylon/polyester and therefore was not very flexible. I lost a bit of weight and the suit became too big. The Tyr Phoenix has lycra in the material. It hugs your legs better and stretches well with your movement. Even if you drop or gain a couple of pounds it will flex to fit. They're also very light and have a faster feel due to lower drag over nylon suits. Looks good too...! Beware of sizing. I wear size 32-33 pants and ordered the size 34. What arrived was a tight M (medium) size suit. I returned them and ordered the 36. I'm a triathlete, 6'1", 181lbs, 24" thighs. I received a L size (36) and it fit perfectly.

I have only worn these now about 5 times but they are really nice. Better then the speedo pair. Material and stitching just seem better. I agree with the other reviewers that they sit a little lower on the back then other brands but nothing bad. I have lost a lot of weight since swimming and had to buy a new pair for that reason. Could have bought a size up but hopefully fingers crossed these will fit better in no time. Overall great jammers that seem to feel like they will hold up over time.

Fabric is nicely stretchy but not too thin, and tie cord works well. The 36” size was a perfect fit for my 34” waist. They fit & feel as good after a dozen or so 1-hour swims, and considering that they were by no means cheap, I’m hoping they will stay that way for longer than the other popular (& more expensive) brand I’ve been using the past decade or more.

We bought these for my adult sized 12 year old in his first Spring doing swim and polo. We followed the size guide provided by TYR and it arrived the perfect fit. Follow the guide. If you are using them for polo and looking for that extra snug/“no one is going to grab my suit”/“ungodly tight” fit, get one size down from the size guide. My son isn’t that competitive yet, he’s going to be in for a surprise next year.

This has been my go-to for training swins and it is top notch. I have owned the same jammer suit, but interestingly this one seems even better constructed than my last one. Will hold up to a lot of time in the pool and resists cholrine well. I have a 33" waist and sized up to the 34"- I previously had the 32" and while it worked fine - it seemed a little tight. I do have a larger butt- all power! - the size up seemed to help. Overall the Tyr products I have purchased seem to hold up well and are well constructed- will keep purchasing this suit.

This swimsuit is the first one I order from TYR brand. I did it to explore more brands. Honestly I will switch to this brand. Quality is better than others I have had. Size fits as expected. Very good quality. I cannot speak for durability now, but time will tell. By now for sure my next swimsuit will be TYR. You wont get disappointed.
