I was devastated when I missed out on the first Stevie Nicks Barbie in November 2023 and at the prices that resellers wanted for one, over $200.00, I didn't think that I'd own one. When I saw that Mattel had issued it again because of how popular it had been, I ran to the Mattel Barbie site only to see that they were once again sold out. I think they sold out in a nanosecond! I tried buying it from one seller online (NOT on Amazon), who ended up scamming me, but PayPal just recently paid me back. I went to Amazon thinking that I was definitely too late to find one at a reasonable price, when she suddenly appeared for not much more than Mattel had sold them for! There were only 2 left, so I ordered as fast as I could!A HUGE thank you to the seller for not price gouging and for the quick delivery! She arrived 2 days before the estimated delivery date. I opened the shipping box to find that she was in her original box, unopened, and in perfect shape.Did I mention that I was happy?!? LOL!

Stevie Nicks doll arrived quickly and in perfect condition in her Mattel shipping box. She is very well done. Nice expression on her face and her hair was not too badly tousled. She is going to stay in her display box.

As a kid, Stevie Nicks was my idol. Her music is within me, always there, even in silence.When the doll came out, I went to order one, only to see the prices jacked up so high, the average person could not afford it.I found a window around Christmas, and the doll was affordable for me.I see the prices are jacked up again.This isn’t right.If you’re able to buy this doll, go for it, but in all sincerity, the company can well afford to sell these niche dolls for a reasonable price.

I love Stevie and I love collecting interesting Barbie dolls. I appreciate the amount of care put into how this dollwas handled from start to finish. It is a beautiful doll in perfect condition. Couldn't ask for better!

I’m a huge fan of Stevie Nicks and a serious collector of all things Stevie for 40 years. Needless to say, I was over the moon (pun intended) when this doll was announced as Stevie herself was showing it on stage at Madison Square Garden last month. I placed a pre-order a few minutes after midnight before they immediately sold out across the country and I’m very grateful. I actually ordered two at the same time because I wanted one to take out and play with, and one to keep boxed as a collectors’ item.The doll is beautiful with extraordinary attention paid to replicating the iconic 1977 velvet & chiffon outfit from the cover of the Rumours album. So excited about the gold moon necklace, the gorgeous platform boots and beribboned tambourine. Stevie herself said she sent her original costume over to Mattel, so they could copy the ensemble. The eye makeup is perfect too (another detail that Stevie insisted had to be just right). This Barbie really does a nice job of representing young Stevie in that era.But why did my doll arrive then with her hair twisted into weird big side curls that are stiff and crunchy with some sort of glue or gel? The bangs were also stiff and glued down. It took a good bit of time with a fine tooth comb to gently remove the hard sticky stuff without it all turning to major frizz. I did finally get the hair looking better as you can see. But I definitely was not able to achieve the beautifully feathered smooth hairstyle shown in Mattel’s promo photo. Clearly somebody at the factory missed a step before putting the doll into the box, that’s a quality control fail.On a more humorous note, why is Stevie Barbie going commando.?! That’s right, poor Stevie Barbie has no underwear under her skirt, just a weird clear plastic panty. Would it have killed them to give the doll some black briefs so when she’s twirling and her skirt flies up, her bum isn’t showing?! LOLOLI also included a photo showing the second doll’s hair, which isn’t great but somewhat better than doll #1.For a black label Barbie collectors edition, it’s not unreasonable to expect her to arrive fully styled and ready to go. I’ve bought many Barbies over the years and have never experienced this issue. I don’t mind having to re-style her hair, but my point is, I shouldn’t have to. This doll left the factory like the Barbie equivalent of leaving the house accidentally with rollers still in her hair. So, in the spirit of an honest product review, I have to give this only four stars, sadly. But I do love this doll and recommend it as long as you don’t mind doing some styling.

I have a friend who is a Stevie Nicks fanatic. So of course I got them this gift for Christmas. However, I really don’t think it looks like Stevie Nicks at all so I was disappointed. They could’ve done a much better job on her face and hair. But my friend was happy with it.
