R.E.D.D. Bar, Vegan Protein Bar, Low Sugar & Gluten-Free, Salted Caramel, 12 Bars

I eat a lot of energy and protein bars. I travel a lot and often they're the only food I get for hours. I have tried a lot of different bars and my previous favorites have been from Quest, but the Quest bar consistency and freshness vary substantially from batch to batch. I decided to try the Redd Peanut Butter Superfood Energy Bar on a whim, not expecting much. I had never heard of them before, but with the first bite I knew I had found a new favorite. I have now been through four boxes and am not tired of them yet, nor have I experienced any quality difference between batches. The bars are 230 calories and have 10 grams of protein; they're gluten free and have 36 mg of caffeine (which is about a third of a cup of coffee), so they provide a minor energy boost. (I am fairly caffeine sensitive so I don't eat them before bed.)They contain 11 superfoods and 23 vitamins and minerals, and are stunningly delicious. A bar is filling and has a chewy, soft consistency and delicious taste making them the most palatable energy bars I have ever eaten. If there is a downside it's that they contain 29 grams of carbohydrate per bar (14 grams of sugars) which is higher than I generally like to consume. Another drawback is that they are somewhat more expensive than most protein or energy bars, but in my opinion the nutritional balance and taste more than justifies the price.I think these bars are great and continue to reorder them. Give them a try; I think you'll love them!

I have eaten this energy bar for a while and really loved it. However, the last box I got was the new reformulated bar and it tastes awful. There is a nasty bitter after taste now. The bar is also smaller - was 2 oz and is now 1.8 oz but it costs more. which I find extremely deceitful of the manufacturer. It is softer and less substantial than before. I notice it has hemp protein in it among other changes which is disappointing. I don't want to eat anything with hemp in it. Overall the changes are dreadful. The bright orange wrapper doesn't make up for the change in the bar. Beside, I liked the other wrapper. If I hadn't already unpacked and recycled the boxes I would be trying to return them. As it is I will just toss them or give them away, if I can find anyone who will eat them. The company has definitely lost a customer. Now I have to hunt for an alternative.

Good quality, taste great, not too firm and not too mushy. Almost a meal replacement but not quite. I wish they were larger

Fantastic bar. I’ve tried dozens of brands over the years. As a certified health buff, I have to say, the ingredients are excellent. What’s more, the mint chocolate doesn’t contain nuts, which is critical for me. The caffeine is very light (1/3 - 1/2 cup of coffee), though I make a point not to eat these after 2pm.Taste is excellent. Nothing artifiical or fake tasting about these.Look at my profile to see a bunch of other health related items I’ve reviewed. :-)

I used to eat these bars about three times a week and was never without a supply. Then for the longest time I could not find them anywhere. I searched for them recently and found that they were once again available so I ordered them. I ate one and they must have changed the formula because it left a horrible after taste in my mouth that I have never experienced before with these bars. I will not be ordering them again. I don't know what you did R.E.D.D. but it was not a good change.

Ah, finally a bar I can relate to. Real sugar, real ingredients. Lots of vitamins and nutrients. I was surprised to see a bar with caffeine, yerba mate and other goodies as such, but yea! I like it. These are very good. First ingredient is peanuts. The way it should be! I like it!

I loved these bars, ate one most mornings for breakfast. When I saw the new packaging I thought it looked nice and figured it was the same bar. Nope. The new bar has a bad texture and taste, I won't be buying these ever again.

This review is for the Peanut Butter flavor only. It is very hard to find an energy bar that is gluten free and soy free and these are. I originally tasted them at a New Season's tasting event. I tried all the flavors and have to say the peanut butter was the best. These are really good and fill you up for a couple hours, which is great for my job as I never know when I will have time to eat.
