Easy Crossword Puzzle Book For Adults and Seniors - 100 Puzzles: Easy on the Eyes and Mind-Stimulating Challenges for Mental Relaxation and Eye Comfort

I bought this book for my 86yo mother-in-law. It’s a full size book with large, easy to read text and puzzles. The puzzles themselves are not difficult but yet challenging for older people. My purpose in buying this book was to keep her engaged so that she would not just stare mindlessly at the television and this book certainly does that.

Like the title says, “easy”. Great for getting in a quick brain exercise. The puzzles are easy enough that I never got frustrated. If you’re looking for a more challenging puzzle, this one is not a good fit. If you want an easy puzzle to pass the time, this is great!

I seldom write reviews but this crossword puzzle book deserves a comment. I’ve ordered at least a dozen of others that are easy for seniors. This tops them all: the answers are not as repetitive as most, the clues are listed with a space between lines, the numbers in the squares are bold and easy to read, the puzzle layout varies, and the binding of the spine doesn’t block access to the nearby answer squares. These are my pet peeves about others I’ve purchased. I hope this author continues to produce such great books! They are relaxing without being stupid easy and avoid crazy clues that don’t make sense with the answer or require frequent cheating with a phone app.

I did not guess all the words, but about as many as I usually get. One thing I would appreciate is if the clues indicated when two or more words are needed, but that's my only complaint.

Needed something easy for getting into crosswords at level that was not discouraging . Just challenging enough . Larger print also helps with eye issues . Highly recommend for beginners snd those with some baseline memory issues - helps to pull up words .

This book is perfect for easy puzzles-not so simple that it’s boring, but not so hard to have look up anything or cheat. I like that the long phrases have to be worked around but it’s doable to solve. Love that there are 100 puzzles in one book—will last awhile and the value is great.
