Excellent.
Bright enough to seriously avoid looking at. Low heat on the module after 5 minutes at 2.8 volts on bench top power supply. Beam itself is not hot enough to hurt and barely even feel on your hand. So it won't burn material like paper. Good application for laser sight or for alignment purposes. Will quickly deplete 2xAAA batteries (3 volts). Would purchase again. A note: hot glue has been applied to the driver board where the leads interface. Probably as a stop-gap measure to keep them from getting pulled off.

Great laser, don’t trust the wires
These worked great and looked awesome. I’m giving it four stars because the wires they came with broke SUPER easy, but I was just soldering them to other wires anyways so it didn’t matter to me.

Quality is a bit spotty
Three stars instead of five, because one of the two units functioned well while the other one worked at first but became erratic after a while and finally quit altogether after a few hours of operation. Overheating was not a factor, as it never got more than slightly warm to the touch. But the unit that worked is pretty impressive: it is insanely bright; the beam itself is easily visible in a darkened room. Dust particles floating across the beam show up as brilliant little flashes of light that are fun to watch. Spot size is roughly 1.5 mm at the source, widening out to about 3 mm 30 feet away. The key to getting the maximum light output from this device is to keep it cool: light output decreases very noticeably if it is allowed to heat up. Running at maximum voltage/current, a heatsink is required. The unit "turns on" at about 2.2 volts, drawing 100 mA and giving off a faint beam. I operated it up to 2.7 volts, but current draw was 350 mA and the unit was quickly getting hot. If operated from 3.0 volts, I would recommend putting a 2.2 ohm resistor in series with the supply and device to limit the current.

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! The worst put together laser I've ever seen, plus it's not adjustable as it says. The lenses are GLUED IN!, there's actually glue covering part of the actual beam blocking it. If I could give less than 1 star I totally would.

They are very bright
I gave them a 5 star rating even though I don't like the fragile unsupported board sticking out the end of the assembly. Very weak area compared to the brass cases. Should be covered with a sleeve and they could stand to use wires of a larger gauge. Otherwise this seems to be a very easy to use product and does what you expect.Just for info, they use 300mA of current at 3.0 Volts.

Not adjustable; super bright
These are SUPER bright out of the box, DEFINITELY not 5mW and DEFINITELY not eye-safe. Which is a problem, because they also don't have the adjustment circuit they're pictured with, and I NEED an eye-safe laser. Also, only one of two works, so I'll probably have to return anyway.

Good Lasers
The lasers worked very well.

Bright but not adjustable
Picture shows adjustment pot, Power board is different with no adjustment pot on it. Otherwise very bright lasers Not for kids toy.
