Nice tool
Hard to get it to fit and lock hopefully it will ease up after a while. Good deterrent as very visible only it would be nice if there was a bag of some sort to put it in once removed.

Works but is heavy
This wheel clamp is quite a basic design, and I think it would definitely work well. The idea is you open it up with a key, slide the claw out to the side, then line it up with your wheel and push the claw into the wheel, then you just use the key to lock the barrel, so it pushes down and holds the claw in place. It’s made of really strong metal and it’s quite heavy, this is not a safety solution for anybody with dexterity issues or strength issues in the wrists or hands. I personally found it difficult to use as I have damage to one of my wrists and lack strength in it. I also found it quite awkward to line up the claw so that the locking barrel could be slotted down into it. It took me several goes And unfortunately I couldn’t get it locked in place while it was on the wheel, I had to bring it back inside and keep trying to lock the moving claw in place. I finally managed it but it was quite frustrating. I was going to give it three stars in this review, but I realised my weakened wrist was probably partly to blame, And also due to an illness im finding it difficult to bend over for any length of time, So bending down on the driveway to try and fit this to my car was quite difficult for that reason.I’m sure, an able bodied person with a normal amount of strength would have no trouble using this item. The wheel clamp seems really well-made I can’t see any faults with it at all and you get three keys so you’ve always got back up in case you lose one. I’m not sure how practical it is to use this on a daily basis, but I can definitely see potential with it for using with trailers, cars snd motorbikes that might be parked up for long periods of time. Once it’s locked in place, the claw feels absolutely solid so I definitely think it would be a good deterrent for thieves.

Good visual deterrent, but won't stop a determined professional thief
If you want added security from car theft, then this might seem like a good idea, especially if you're away for a while, or don't use the car/caravan regularly. One thing is that the construction although metal, doesn't feel particularly super solid, made of relatively thin metal with a pin which could possible get bent out of place with sufficient force. The other thing is it's showing the clamp on a sports car. Well this thing will clamp a tyre of up to around 29-30cm width on the widest notch. This doesn't quite work on the rather wide 305/30-R19s on the rear tyre of a particular sports car. It's ok on the slightly narrower front 245/35 R19 tyre though. At £27 at time of review, it's not very expensive for a wheel clamp/security device. However other than a visual deterrent for a casual thief, it won't really hold up to a determined professional who might have an angle grinder or a solid crowbar or similar. Hopefully though it might be just enough for them to go after a car without this extra layer of protection instead though.Having said all that, overall, I'd say it's still worth the money, so long as you don't mind the hassle of putting it on/taking it off each time you want to use the car!
