Yoga DirectThunderbird Ultra Mexican Yoga Blanket

As other reviewers have stated, this blanket is more soft than the usual scratchy ones. I washed it upon arrival (cool delicate, tumble dry low heat) and it came out fine, though it did shed a TON so I’m glad I washed/dried it alone. The birds are only two colors - either entirely beige or entirely neon coral. Also I ordered the dark grey and was sent the dark purple, but either works in my space so I decided to keep it. A few flaws, but overall does the job of providing a little lift/padding in certain yoga poses.

UPDATE: (2/8/2022) My blanket is now well over 5 years old and has held up to years of not old yoga practice but being used as a picnic/beach blanket, throw for the home, and countless other uses. It’s been washed and dried more times than I can count and has even held up to being puked on and abused by my pets. It just keeps getting softer with use. I would definitely buy another when this eventually wears out. I have included a picture of it so you can see how well it has held up.ORIGINAL REVIEW: Bought the charcoal color and am very pleased with the color. The birds are a nice pop of just the right shade of orange, yellow, pink, and tan against the grey. Weave is nice, thick, and soft. Look forward to using this for yoga and meditation. Hopefully this holds up to my practice.

It's a good thickness, will see how it holds up. I really like the thunderbirds in the different colors and it just feels solid. I think the fullness of the tassels will tell you if the blanket is more thin or thick - are they like string or yarn?

I've purchased several of these blankets over the course of the past 5-6 years. Previously they were high quality, soft and colorful.. They had white tassels rather than black.Most recently I purchased three more. The weave is much more rough and coarse, the colors seem "off" and are not clean and bright, and the tassels are black instead of white.

Worth every penny! I’m using it as a throw, but it’s versatile enough it could be used as a rug, wall hanging or whatever your imagination dictates! Love this piece!!!

I bought this because I was looking for a more natural mat for yoga. Truthfully, I have yet to use it for that purpose. My cats have claimed it as theirs, and it is used a lap throw for famly movie night. I have washed it twice now to try and use as it was originally purchased for, and have given up fighting for it. I will have to purchase another and hide it before anyone sees it.I ordered the purple color, and well it is purple, a deep, dark purple. No complaints about it, but just wasn't expecting such a rich color.

The blanket is nice but the thunderbirds are not mutli-colored as they appear in the image. The birds are solid colors like tan, orange, etc. There should be a note to let you know that blankets have variations from the images used. Thanks you.

I ordered the charcoal blanket and the first time it arrived it was yellow. I returned it and the second time it arrived it was charcoal, but the colors of the thunderbirds are not at all what is pictured on the product photo. Disappointed that it doesn't look like what I ordered. Probably just going to keep it.

Lo extendí sobre un sillón para revisarlo y le quedó perfecto como funda y así lo dejé para protegerlo cuando no lo use. Es muy suave y la calidad de la artesanía mexicana sobresaliente. El color y los dibujos son los mismos que de la foto y los materiales iguales a la descripción con 10% algodón lo cual lo hace muy suave. Lo recomiendo bastante.

En la foto se ve gris y bonito con los pajaritos colorados. Por eso lo conté.Primero, se tardo en llegar.Segundo. No es NADA que se ve en la foto - me llego un azul súper feo con los pájaros igual feos. Esto fue un fracaso.Pedí devolución por la primera vez.

The actual color is different from what I was thinking. But I’m still happy to get it! It doesn’t smell and is big enough, I bought this for a outdoor blanket but I think I could use it as a floor rug.

item sent is not at all the color shown/indicated in picture on site. i know there IS a purplish one, but I got a VERY GREEN ONE. can't be bothered to return item so will use SOMEWHERE. disappointed

I thought I was getting a grey blanket like the one in the pic, mine was purple! Like others here, I got different than what was displayed, but I do like the colour.
