Smart Sole Full-Face Wedge

It's super easy to get the ball out of bunkers with this club. Just square up like a regular iron shot and hit the sand a little before the ball to pop the ball out of the bunker. No need to open up the club face. As an additional bonus, you are less likely to chunk if you use this club for chipping. The wide sole helps it from digging into the ground. This club has basically replaced my 56 degree sand wedge and 60 degree lob wedge. Pros: -Easy to hit balls out of bunkers. No opening up club face. -Easier to use than sand wedge/60 degree wedge for chipping. Less likely to dig into the ground due to the wide sole. The 3 tiered sole seems to work well on variety of surfaces. -Graphite shaft takes the sting out on bad strikes. This is my first graphite wedge. I like it. Neutral: -Full face grooves. Not sure how helpful this is. If I hit the ball on the toe, who cares how much it spins if it flies like garbage. -Not sure how long HydraZip face treatment will last. I have played 5 rounds of golf with it. Couple of hits out of the bunker + some chipping. The face already looks a bit dinged up. Cons: -Difficult to open up the face for fancier shots like high angle lob shots. Also, it might be a little more difficult to get out of really deep pot bunkers. Luckily, there are no pot bunkers in my area. YMMV. Overall, this is an excellent club. If you struggle in the bunkers, it makes hitting out super simple. Easy chipping with the club is an added bonus.

This thing has earned a permanent spot in my bag! I use it on virtually every hole, unless somehow I get on the green and regulation! :-). It's good from 60 yards out to just off the green and produces a nice backspin. Very good quality club, nicely weighted. I can't recommend it enough.

Great club. Just what my game was missing.

I have used this club for a couple of months now and I must say, I am very impressed. After taking it to the range, I have been able to pull off multiple shots by varying the swing and this club has essentially replaced multiple clubs in my bag. If I give this a full swing, I can easily give it a good 120-140 yard strike. If I do a half or low tempo swing, I can get 80-90 yards. And around the green it works very well as its namesake: the Chipper. Based on this, I have since also purchaced the Sand Wedge version and now I have 2 go-to approach clubs that have replaced 5-6 clubs in my bag.

Was looking for a chipping wedge and glad I chose this one . Excellent addition to my bag and game.

I suck, so rating this mostly on quality vs performance of the club... when i manage to hit it right, it's beautiful. Not sure I'll keep it in the bag now though as that's rare, but will keep it till I feel like trying it again!

Glides effortlessly thru sand and is great around the green since the club head is rounded and avoids the club getting stuck at impact. Have to adjust how you got the ball around the green since the club does not have a high loft.
