Great for cold nights!
We live in Arizona but at an altitude of almost 5000 feet. When fall and winter arrive, the night time temps drop but some of the time the days are still warm and sunny enough that garden plants are still growing. This is a very large piece of material. We have used it primarily for the raised bed where the tomatoes and peppers are still ripening and blooming. We only use it at night and so far the temps haven't dipped below freezing but the blanket nonetheless has protected the plants. We uncover them in the day so they can get warmth and light from the sun and they are all doing very well. We believe protecting the plants at night has helped, and we are still harvesting some tomatoes and peppers. When the temps get colder we will probably cut the blanket into smaller pieces to protect the geraniums, ice moss, and other plants that live through the winter if cared for properly.A very good plant protector and a super reasonable price.

perfect!
Excellent for protecting plants from frost. I can extend the gardening season just a little further and start it a little earlier--which is great since I often start my tomatoes too soon. Cuts easily so you can adjust it for whatever shape you need. Way better than my old sheets I was using. Breathes much better too, without losing heat. Very pleased with this Freeze cover.

Don’t buy
My plants were covered and still died. This fabric is really thin

Really large and useful for many plants
I don't have my entire garden set up yet, but I have a ton of plants in pots that are going to sleep for the winter. This has been large enough and thick enough to cover my raised bed that has winter veg starting to sprout, my citrus trees in buckets, and my large cacti in pots. We have had three nights in a row below freezing, and so far all my plants have survived and are looking no worse than before the cold snap. I'll be getting more of these covers because I am easily able to cover up all my most precious plants under one sheet for simple protection.

So far happy with these covers
This is the first year I am using covers and I am hoping to get my tropical milkweed to overwinter and come back next spring. This will largely depend on how cold it will get this winter. I have had luck with tropical milkweed coming back with no protection or never coming back. I have some plants in the raised beds and some out in the yard, so I will see if these will make any difference. Overall, this is a huge piece, so doubled up the layers. It was easy to cut and install.

They call it thicker, but it's average
This is a good value, and I have no complaints. But they call it thicker, when in reality it's pretty average. Most of the plant covers I see are 1.05oz, and this one is 1.06oz.However, the last 3 or 4 plant covers I've ordered are 1.10oz, which is obviously thicker than this one. The average range is probably 0.90oz to 1.10oz, but occasionally I see them even lower. My main recommendation is don't get anything that doesn't disclose the thickness up front, and just make sure you're clear on what you're getting.
