Used the plastic to cover an area where I wanted to grow vine vegetables, off the ground. Put down ground tree mulch on top to help keep the plastic in place and the ground cooler. Worked good, since the veggies did good this year, not great, as it was a very dry hot year. I had to put shade cloth over my tomatoes and herbs as they were burning and all the buds would just drop off, not set veggies. After the shade cloth, they set veggies, but weren’t as good as in the past. The vines under the plastic ground cover, did well without Shade cloth. I expect by covering with mulch, the plastic will last a few years, as it’s still in good shape after the fall.

This Black Plastic is nice and heavy duty. It's easy to work with. As you can see in this picture, I'm chopping down the tall grasses and putting the Black Plastic down to kill the roots before planting in the late fall, early winter. It's much better than using landscaping cloth. This Black Plastic will kill everything underneath it and if I pull it up before December, it won't kill the good fungi and bacteria that is needed for healthy plants. I couldn't be happier. As a matter of fact, I will be ordering more of this product soon. I'm making a huge pollinator garden on my property.
