This is advertised good for curly haired dogs but it is the perfect tool for my long haired Shih Tzu. I use this on any mats and tangles with so much more ease. This tool has successfully broken mats with a lot more comfort for our dog. I’m glad I found it on Amazon!

This comb does what it's designed for about as well as could be hoped. It's not razor sharp, so it certainly requires some finesse and can get stuck, but if it were razor sharp it would be dangerous for everyone involved. Its wide, reasonably sharp blades work through what a slicker brush can't, and the blunt metal tips seem to provide a nice scratchy massage that our dog actively enjoys. It works with or without spray, but spray certain helps it move more easily through slightly or significantly matted fur. Used frequently it catches rarely, and keeps our poodle/husky mix soft, un-tangled, and happy.

I have several detangler combs and this one works very well on my doodle’s tail! It’s not really small enough for new mats starting to tangle on shorter areas of her coat or tight spaces, however. A tiny version with sharper blades on one side would be ideal. It’s very sturdy and easy to grasp.

Very effective in eliminating matted hair. Easy to use.

This is a must have for any doodle owner! I have eight doodles! Yes eight and I have beautiful groomed dogs. 🐕 I definitely use this tool daily!

We received an offer from We Love Doodles to purchase this dematting rake and get a rebate of the purchase price. We bought it and received it in a day. We've tried it twice on our Doodle after thinking about how to deal with the small mats that formed in his beard and feet/legs, especially when he gets wet. We have a We Love Doodles slicker brush which works great, but we needed to address a few mats. This rake works wonderfully. We would buy this dematting rake & brush even without the rebate, as it is well worth the price. We use it in conjunction with a couple of brushes and combs. It does take out some hair near snags and mats, but it is a much easier solution than trying to use a regular brush or comb to remove mats or scissors to cut out mats.
