I was lucky enough to be one of the first people to receive the Audeze Maxwell gaming headset (the PC/Xbox version with the included Dolby Atmos licence). Sadly it broke after 10 months with a known issue and they had none to replace it with so refunded me in full, which was very proper of them. I was therefore left with an array of different gaming headsets at the higher end of the pricing scale. There are a lot out there and some with too many features than I need or poor ambient sound rejection and mainly poor to middling microphones. Honestly, the mic in this is great. Like really good for a gaming headset. The sound is also very well balanced and voiced but hey, it's Beyerdynamic and these guys are profession grade microphone and headphone manufacturers, products of which I have owned for many years. The included low latency dongle works very well and connects really quickly. They are a stylish headphone and despite looking somewhat basic compared to a more plastic'y headset with LED lighting and all that stuff, they are really solidly made and will likely last for many years. The only issue I have with them, (other than the controls are a little fiddly and hard to remember and that they are not brutally loud in any way) is that they are quite tight fitting. Not tight enough that I want to send them back and I know I take one of the largest motorcycle helmets out there, but they could be too tight for some so if they don't fit and feel comfortable after a couple of hours then make your decisions from there. Other than that, these are a great gaming headset and better than almost every alternative high end set out there. I loved the sound of the Audeze but the mic was okay at best and the ribbons too delicate (v1 certainly). If you want to hear everything properly and be heard in a way that few headsets can, or do manage to achieve then this is a go to.

I really want to like and keep these headphones. The sound quality is fantastic, especially for gaming, but the clamping force is too much, so I have to return them :( Sound quality - Music (8/10): Clear and crisp signature. The sound profile leans more towards the typical DT990 pro. As a gaming headset, I would rate this as second-best, just behind the Audeze Maxwell, and better than other premium ones like Astro A50x and Steelseries Nova Pro. However, the sound volume is a bit low; I have to turn it to maximum 100 (roughly equal to 50 on the Maxwell). Sound quality - Gaming (9.5/10): To be honest, if we're talking about gaming sound, this can is even better than Maxwell. The sound is more spatial, allowing us to clearly distinguish footsteps and recognize dialogue from different directions. Everything is clearly articulated, and the depth and dimension are the best in the gaming headset category right now. Customization (1/10): Unfortunately, there's no app for either PC or phone at all. So we have to manually use our own Dolby Atmos or EQ app to customize the sound we want. Mic (8/10): Precise and clear, I don't get any complaints from my teammate in Discord, while it is not degisned to use under noisy environment like when the fan is on, so Razer or Maxwell maybe better choice for team-chat as they have the AI noise cancelling for Mic. Connectivity (6/10): It comes with a USB stick that we can connect to PC for low-latency and high-quality connection. While it also supports Bluetooth connection at the same time, we can't simultaneously listen to both devices at once, which is a shame. Also, the Bluetooth codec is SBC only, so the quality and latency are pretty bad. The only good thing is the range is decent; I can still hear the music without distortion when I place my laptop on the 2nd floor and I'm eating downstairs in the kitchen. Comfort (3/10): Sadly, this is the trigger point for why I returned this beauty. The cushions on the headband & earpad are thick and comfortable. Even inside the earcup, there's a pad on it, which is great. However, the clamping force is too much, which is unbearable to me. I was literally feeling pain after wearing it for more than 10 minutes, and my head size is average. As other comments mentioned, this may be the reason for you to return it as well if you purchase it; not everyone can bear it. Conclusion (7/10): Fantastic sound quality; however, with no customization app and excessive clamping force, it falls short.

I love this masterpiece. Sound and build quality and comfort are top-notch. I'm using it daily, for online meetings and, with the mic detached, even when I brush my teeth so I don't wake my kids at night. Beyerdynamic all the way!

Fantastic headset all round. The sound is brilliant, spacial surround is so nice on this set. Very comfortable even when worn for longer periods, not too heavy or cumbersome. They're very sleek and the colours are nice so they look decent too. Whilst also being pretty rugged! My only gripe is the lack of ANY adjustments or customisation on the software level, the software for these is only a Firmware updater and nothing else.

The sound is very good and top quality but so much let's this headset down. The clamp is just horrible combined with the ear pads which sit on ear, you have to try and manipulate the headset to loosen it for comfort. Beyerdynamic advertised different pads but you can't even buy them so you are stuck with what you got. Shame as mic is great. Missed opportunity and not worth the massive price tag

Pour le prix je ne peux que le conseiller, la qualité ce retrouve partout sur ce casque. La première fois que je l'ai porté je n'ai pas du tout ressentis le poids du casque, les oreillettes épouses parfaitement les contours de l'oreilles, ce qui permet que pendant même des longues sessions on ne ressens aucunes gênes! Le son et la spatialisation sont au top ! Permet de pleinement s'immerger en jeu. Les différents modes permet vraiment d'apprécier différemment le son et avec ses différents modes de connections (dongle/câble/bluetooth) permet une grande versatilité sans que dans les 3 modes on a une pertes de qualité du son ! Et le micro a un son claire et assez fort ! Dans l'ensemble très bon produit qui dure dans le temps !

Headsetet är otroligt välbyygt med fantastikst ljud. Batteritiden är helt okej men de laddas väldigt snabbt. Går även att använda samtisigt som de laddas till skillnad från vissa andra. Ända problemet jag hittat är att kuddarna är ganska hårda, vilket i sig inte är ett problem, men då jag har glasögon gör det att det inte blir en helt tät tillslutingn runt örat. Annars finns det inget att kaga på.

Funktioniert einwandfrei am PC und an der PS5 und ist bisher top in allen Belangen. Insbesondere die Qualität des Mikrophons ist für ein kabelloses Headset sehr gut. Dafür muss der USB Stick benutzt werden. Über Bluetooth ist Stereosound + Mikrofon in hoher Qualität nicht möglich. Das hat mit dem Headset speziell jedoch nichts zu tun, sondern ist eine Einschränkung des Bluetooth Standards. Als geschlossene Kopfhörer mit der Option Außengeräusche per Mikro "durchzulassen" hat man mMn auch einen gute Lösung gefunden, den Kopfhörer situationsbedingt "offen" verwenden zu können. Die Kritik an der Klangqualität teile ich nicht. Ja, das Headset ist anders (basslastiger) abgestimmt als Beyers reine Studio Kopfhörer. Das ist allerdings nur eine Tendenz. Auch hier wurde mMn ein guter Kompromiss zwischen "Studioklang" und "Mainstream" gefunden, der für Spiele und Multimedia gut Spaß macht. Benutze das Headset so 2-3 Stunden am Stück ohne Komfortprobleme. Akkulaufzeit lässt auch nichts zu wünschen übrig. Das Headset kommt dazu mit einem recht hochwertigen und langen (>2m) USB-C Kabel. Das Headset kommt ohne zusätzliche Software (eher Bloatware) aus und verbindet sich zuverlässig und schnell.
