Excellent drive!! Great price..
I got the 256GB... for only $18 and it was delivered the next day. What's not to be happy about? I used it on my wife's Dell computer that no kidding... would take 6-7 full minutes to boot up. Her regular HDD was transferring data at a slow 2.3MBs . (she uses only about 50GB of space). I tried defragging and scanning for errors, and all looked good... but slow.. I purchased this, connected it with an external drive kit i have. Used Acronis to create a clone. Then swapped drives and it now takes only 40 seconds to boot and it's screaming fast.I scanned the new drive for errors and speed, and it's now transferring at 11MBs with no issues. I highly recommend this!NOTE that it's a bare drive with screws. I mounted it with heat resistant tape inside my larger HDD cage, but you may want to consider purchasing the correct size cage (adapter) for this to be screwed in to your larger HDD cage. This drive is SO small and light. The way I did it works for me. :-)

Reliable, affordable name brand SSD for backups and everyday Use!
I picked up this up to use as an external drive for me and my wife's MacBooks; mainly for Time Machine backups and general file storage. Paired with a USB 3.0 enclosure, it’s been a solid upgrade from using older/slower external hard drives.Setting it up was super easy—formatted it to APFS using Disk Utility, and it was ready to go in minutes. Transfer speeds are solid for a SATA SSD, averaging high 400MB/s when moving large files. It’s not the fastest SSD out there, but for backups, media storage, and everyday file transfers, it’s more than enough and it's getting the job done!

Solid so far- works out of the box reliably
I initially bought a slightly cheaper drive by a brand I don’t know. Totally didn’t work. Tried various things but it was just a bad drive. Read a bit and found good info on hp drives, and this worked perfectly on an older MacBook Pro from 2009, 2011, and another 2012. Works internally or externally with usb-to-sata adapter- no troubles at all. Speedy, good space, just overall a superior experience. I think it’s worth that extra $5-10. Very solid. Nicely put together. Is it the ultimate speed? I can’t say but far faster than sata hard drives. It’s running on an older machine but is a great upgrade, and really improved overall usability on those laptops. I’ve only used a month but so far it’s great. Zero complaints. Even arrived next morning 7am.Edit: used this for several months now on a machine used for transferring and processing 2-8GB files, it has been quite reliable and speedy. No complaints. Though it’s not the cheapest drive, it is rock solid and reliable thus far. I consider it was worth the $5-10 difference as I have had two other drives from other unknown brands fail or simply not function. If you need a drive to drop in that you know will work, function reliably and perform well, this is it.

Worked on the first try!!!
I really liked that the ssd formatting worked on the first without any issues. The only downside was the actual amount of space. I can’t complain, the speeds are terrific but out of the 512gb as shown, I only have 479. It is still great for the price you can’t go wrong with this ssd.Ps it may have issues with your pc/laptop if it’s not compatible.

2+years still great!
Cant go wrong with HP SATA SSDs. Ive used HP SATA SSDs, and even the ~120gb works 7 years later. I mention this because some other brands like Adata, I haven’t had good luck with. Those SATA drives have died out on MANY different computers I’ve built. Specifically SATA. But this 480gb SSD works great which speaks to the quality of the product, at least in my experience. Of course it was easy to install very typical computer building essentials.

Perfect little upgrade
Had an older but decent HP laptop I was working on for someone. The original HDD was failing and causing corruption so I replaced it with this. For almost the same price as an HDD I was able to install this SSD and after reloading windows, drivers a d software this drive is noticeably faster and quieter. It’s still just a SATA interface so it’s not going to be blazing fast but it’s a solid improvement over the original HDD.
