Strong magnets!
I used these for the typical hand tools like pliers, screw drivers and such and I also use them in my art room to keep tools within easy reach. They have nice mounting end caps that are easy to install. I like that the product name sticker can be removed for a cleaner look.

They work fine.
I used these magnets to help insulate a metal door from heat being sucked into the house. They held fabric on the door from edge to edge and the A/C doesn't run as much on these 99 degree days.

Good, but not as magnetic as advertised.
Basically, it's not as strong as the photos and description would have you believe.I put these up in a shed, and they'll certainly hold a screwdriver or a wrench. But anything heavier will probably fall off or won't be all that secure.So don't buy it as a solution for hanging hammers. Mine wouldn't even secure a ball peen hammer, let alone a full sized one. Wouldn't even hold up my measuring tape without it falling off. But any sort of slim cylindrical steel tool should be fine.

Simple to install.
Used for garage tools - magnets are strong enough for large pieces. Due to the length, they only hold a few items.

I should have looked closer but there are six magnetic bars that come with this purchase. I will find a use for them as they are strong.

Magnet field/strength is far too puny.
These are nicely designed and appearing magnets; BUT their magnetic field/strength is far too weak to pull tools onto the magnet or to even hold items securely once placed. It only takes a light brush of something like pliers to cause them to detach and fall. I have other magnets that practically suck the tool onto them. On these you have to place the tool carefully for maximal metallic surface-area contact. Who has time for that? Even with that, my lineman pliers spent more time on the floor than the magnet. I will be unmounting and returning these then looking for a different solution. Not sure how they've managed to garner such high ratings so far; could I have gotten (and is there such a thing as) a bad box???
