Wow... these put my old plastic NMO antenna mount covers to shame. I use the covers often when I take my pickup through a car wash. They look great and will never crack or wear out.

I always managed to cross-thread the plastic ones which ruins them immediately. This one is much easier. I can easily feel the threads and get it on correctly and it works great. It is high quality!

I purchased these to protect two roof ham radio antenna mounts when preparing to have the roof of my car re-painted. It turns out that installing these caps saved me several hundred dollars in labor costs that the auto body shop would have otherwise charged. After the re-painting job was done, I was careful to use the sharp tip of a utility knife to free the caps from any paint where they contacted the washer and was able to successfully remove them after the paint job was complete. This small investment really paid off!

I almost bought the plastic caps because they are rated so well. I'm really glad I kept looking! These caps are really nice. They are very solid and of high quality. The threads are smooth and the seal is excellent. I'm confident that these caps will outlast my antennas (stainless steel always lives longer than plastic, etc.)They do cost a little bit more but, I think they are well worth the extra cost.

I just installed one of these and it is 1st class construction and first class materials for a reasonable price. The plastic options available in lieu of this product just are not worth the effort.
