Very effective harness
After trying and failing miserably with other dog control products such as head collars and rope leads, I bought this harness. It’s fantastic! With the first use, instead of pulling me around and causing me aches and pains, our large 2 year old 40kg golden retriever was walking like a little lamb. We have found that the handle on the back of the harness is particularly useful when coming into contact with other dogs. Walking our dog has now become a pleasure rather than a chore and I would certainly recommend this product if you are struggling with controlling your dog. Be sure to measure your dogs neck and chest before you purchase the harness. However, the sizes are very good and are quite flexible with fitting. So far, the harness has not aggravated our dog or rubbed on his skin. It’s very light and very easy to put on.

It actually works!
My dog is very strong & I have tried numerous harnesses to keep him under control & stop him from pulling me about, as he has husky in him so he wants to pull which just infuriates me and aggregates my injuries, making walking him a painful task. The final straw came the other day when I picked him up from the groomers & he damn near broke my arm.He is such a big coward that he can't wait to get out of there & to the safety of my car, and he practically rips my arm off as soon as I go to leave, dragging me out of the shop.On this particular occasion, I had barely opened the door to leave when he bolted through it & slammed my forearm against the metal frame. Let's just say that I had to apologise to some other customers due to the profanity spewing forth, due to the pain in my arm. That does it - I need to get something to prevent this from happening again as he is starting to injure me now.So, I started looking at my options. I'll admit, I wasn't convinced anything out there would actually work as spent a small fortune. I've got the Halti headcollar, and various other harnesses - I think I've got about 6 or so in the cupboard now & none of them work. He still pulls regardless of the promises. He hates the headcollar and constantly tries to pull it off or keeps smashing his head into my legs trying to get it off. Again, doesn't make walking fun. He's fine in open areas when he can have some freedom, but if we need to be somewhere that he needs to stay close (such as when we go to garden centres or other areas where there are lots of people) then I need to have him under full control & him keep pushing me over or pulling me around does not make for a fun day out.I read the reviews from other buyers & many of them state that this harness does work, so being as it was on a lightning deal I figured i'd give it a shot. At this point, I've got nothing left to lose beyond a few pounds.I bought the large as that's what others said they bought for a GSD, but in hindsight I would have perhaps been better going for the XL as he is large for both a GSD & a husky. But, once I'd lengthened the straps as far as they will go, I was able to get it on him & he actually has a bit of breathing space as it's not too tight either. It's snug but wearable.Maybe the XL would have been a better fit to allow me to tighten it, but since I can get this one on him, I'll stick with it now. We've just been out to test it & I must admit this is the first time he hasn't dragged me up the road. Either he's knackered from running riot earlier or this does indeed work. I've no idea what the difference is between this & the others I've bought previously, but something about it has indeed stopped him from pulling. This is ideal for me now, as it's quick & easy to put on & it also has a handle on the back. I also bought this with a short lead (one that's literally a handle with a clip) so when I want to go out to the car etc I can put this one & have a hold of him whilst we 'walk' to the car nicely.Getting him in the car is not a problem. Stopping him trying to get out the door to get to the car is.He's so excited that he becomes tunnel-visioned & fixated on making it to the car, as soon as he thinks I'm going out. He's got it in his head that if he can get in the car then he gets to go with me, as he doesn't understand that I'm the one making that decision! First chance he gets, he's sitting by the boot or if the boot is open, he's in it.We have had a near miss previously where there was a delivery man walking up our path right as I opened the door.He was minding his own business, in a world of his own when something the size of a dire wolf came barrelling past him to get to the car. Thankfully the parcels weren't fragile. So now, hopefully, this means I have something to hang on to whilst I open the door & I can at least check the route between the door & the car is clear before we step out of the door - under full control. So for me, this is ideal for not only walking to/from the car but also when we go out walking, where I can allow him his regular, longer lead but again, without yanking my arms out of their sockets. It's perfect for keeping him under control & quick to clip a lead on to the ring of the front or back depending on what I want. The rings are metal as well. As someone else said, they look plastic, but the assurance is that they are indeed metal. The stitching looks good & sturdy too so hopefully this should last a while. In my opinion, this was worth the money - now I'll save on physiotherapy bills after we visit the groomers or the vets!PROS:• Easy to put on• Lightweight• Gives good control over an animal• Easy to hold on to the handle• Strong stitching• Ideal for close control• Clip is strong & thick metal• Super quick to attach/detach a lead to the ringsCONS:• A touch on the small side for my dog but that could be my fault for not measuring correctlyVerdict:5 stars - great product. It's easy to use & most importantly - IT WORKS!!! The stitching looks good & strong, so this should last a while. Would recommend. I am very happy with this item.

Best thing since sliced Bread!
I have a German Shepherd rescue dog. She is reactive to just about everything from squirrels to strange men. Walking her has become an unpleasant experience with my arms and shoulders taking a battering every time we go out. She has pulled me over on several occasions (I am only 5'1").Although her recall is good when there is no-one else around, I mainly walk her on a long-line. The lead then gets between her legs which makes it difficult to control her if I need to, especially if she then lays down on top of it.I have tried many different types of collars and leads. I was given a harness which just secured between front and back legs. The problem with this was that it kept slipping sideways, rotating around her body. Not being someone to give up, I kept looking and found the Eagloo harness. With fastenings both in front of and behind the front legs, with a breast plate and two positions for lead clips, with an additional hand grip on the top. It looked good at first sight, and had some really good reviews so I went ahead and ordered it. It arrived the next day.Forever hopeful, even if a little skeptical, I put the harness on my dog, made a few minor adjustments to the straps and off we went for a walk.WOW! Amazing! I can hardly believe it!I used the clip on the back of the harness, rather than the chest clip, and away we went. For the next hour, we walked calmly, with a slack lead (not quite a perfect "heal" but I'm not complaining) and nicely relaxed. Even when she saw a few squirrels, she took notice of my small tug on the lead and left them alone. The harness stayed exactly where it should be and the lead stayed away from her legs.Even though she has medium long hair, the harness fits well and seems very comfortable. Easy to get on and off with the back clip being very accessible, rather than trying to find her collar clip within her long hair.Just to prove this wasn't a first time reaction to a new harness, I have spent the last five days testing and analyzing her reactions every time we have been out. She still reacts when other dogs come close, but calms down much quicker and doesn't look like a toddler throwing a temper tantrum on the end of the lead. My arms are feeling great and no more friction burns from the lead running through my hands.I could go on for ages telling you how impressed I am with this harness, but I need to take her out on another enjoyable walk.Just for information, I bought the orange size Large to fit my 25lb German Shepherd. Perfect fit.

Solid piece of kit
Solid and well made harness. Fits well around neck and abdomen and well padded. Clips can be a bit stiff to fasten but sturdy and seems comfortable on Sam.

Not great if your dog has a big head
This looks like a good harness but I have trouble getting it off my dog's head after a walk as the loop for her head seems quite small and it's not easy/practical to have to re-adjust the straps just to get it over and then off her head every time we go for a walk. Otherwise, it's well built.
