Hydro Flow Uniseal, 1"

I used this on the top of a plastic RV fresh water tank to make an auxillary filling location. I used 1 3/4 inch hole saw. Very easy to drill and fit. It seems loose in the hole - not sure if it would seal the bottom of the tank? RV tank plastic is thinner than a typical 55 gallon barrel so that may be the reason. The 1 inch PVC pipe fits well and works for adding water when no pressurized water hose is available.

I have used several of these now on different applications and they have always worked well - just make sure you drill the hole the right size (it is not a 1" hole you drill - if I recall I think it is 1 and 3/4 inch for this 1" Uniseal). I have not had any leak yet. I would recommend using a tiny amount of vaseline on the inside as you push the pipe in to lubricate it - especially if your tank is flimsy or thin because you do have to push pretty hard on the pipe to get it in without the vaseline.

This is my first time using a uniseal. I was skeptical at first since it was so easy to plug into my barrel and was easy to push a 1" pvc through it. I even made a mistake and had to yank the uniseal and pvc pipe out of the barrel and then redo it because I forgot to put something onto the end of the pvc pipe. I was terrified that I was going to have leaks after that. To my surprise, I have not leaks, it works perfectly!

It actually worked too well. I have it on a water changing station that I have two (2) 55 gallon drums where I have PVC piping connecting both with a pump in between. These seals worked great to the point where my pump began to get a vapor lock because both barrels were sealed so well, no air flow was being transferred because the seals did not let any outside air in. Great product... Highly recommend!!!

I purchased this to put a spicket on the bottom of my water container for my food truck. It seems to be working great! My advice for anyone, would be, make sure you drill your hole precisely! If anything, drill it slightly smaller. If you drill it too big, you could stand a chance of it leaking.

This thing fits a 1 3/4" hole VERY tight. Perfect for my needs.

Great for aquaponics. Makes a great seal for 1" PVC pipe thru bottom of a plastic container.

Works great. Bought it to extend my fishtank wet dry filter. Connected a large bin to house the return pump and add volume of water to the system. Just drill the apropriate sized hole slap this in and insert ur pipe. Lube it with a little vaseline for easier installation. So far no leaks or any issues. Ok so an update. Bought this Sept 2019 now one of the four is leaking. I can see two other ones have cracks. So have to downgrade the review. While it worked prrfectly for several years it started to leak. Will try to pop the pair out and replace with two I haven't used yet. Hopefully they r not dried out as well.

Just make sure your holesaw size is less then required or use hole saw blades before using on required very exact holes

Installed on a water mixing barrel. For non flat surfaces, you just can't beat these.
